Welcome to ecoapartment bene !
Enjoy your holidays in ecoapartment bene with a clear conscience without having to sacrifice comfort.
Enjoy your stay in an sustainably operated apartment within a quaint, quiet and typically Viennese district of Vienna, in Ober St. Veit. The newly adapted apartment on the ground floor of an apartment building looking into the courtyard. Public transport takes you into the city centre in about 25 to 30 minutes. There is a supermarket, backery, and various restaurants (Viennese 'Heuriger', Japanese, Italian) in walking distance.
You find the measures that have been implemented so far here:
•All our apartments receive their electricity from 100% renewable energy
•We are of the opinion that one should live with and not off the environment. Therefore, we donate 3% of our profits to organizations that are active in social and environmental areas. A new organization is elected every year.
•We want to protect the global environment but we do not want our guests to have to sacrifice comfort. A permanent adaptation to the latest technology is just as inefficient (because still functional devices would need to be scrapped) as expensive. So we renew old or broken equipment by energy-efficient electronics step by step.
•We value transparency so there is a transparency folder in each of our apartments where we document our actions with invoices and contracts
•There are three garbage bins for separate waste disposal in our apartments
•We try as often as possible to refrain from printed documents. If it cannot be avoided we use exclusively recycled paper for printed documents
•It is very important to us that each of our apartments are clean when pass on to our guests. For cleaning we exclusively use products from sustainable companies with an Eco-Award.
•This apartment uses only LED lights and does without inefficient incandescent bulbs or energy saving light bulbs containing mercury
•TV and the radio have an A + energy efficiency label
•The dishwasher has an Eco-Mode

We had a wonderful experience at Bene's eco. The apartment is extremely functional, neat, well organized and equipped. It has everything you can think of. We were a family of 4 staying there and quite enjoyed it for a month. The location of the apartment is excellent: All public transport means are very near by. The centre of Vienna is just 20 mns away. Zielpunkt, Spar, 2 bakeries and cafes and restaurants are just 5 mns away by foot. Ober St. Veit is a "Chic" residential area with very nice restaurants and cafes. Therefore, staying there was an excellent value for money. Parking is easy and free around the apartment. Benedikt's mother was a wonderful host providing us with anything we asked for and gave us advice about Vienna (speaking perfect English by the way).
We highly recommend this apartment for short and long term stay in Vienna. It made our stay there enjoyable.
Million thanks for our wonderful and extremely kind hosts. We appreciate all the kind help and support they have given us.

Thanks, great stay, nice appartement, clean, well organized. Very nice and helpfull owners. If you are looking for a stay (not in a center) this is a great choise - good value for money.
The place is great! It's very spacious and bright, and everything that's listed is correct. The place is clean, shower has great pressure!, great internet connection, kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans if a guest wants to cook, living room has a sofa to hang out as well...
The place is slightly removed from the city center (15 minutes walk from the apartment to the train station, and 20 minutes train ride from there to StephanPlatz). However, it worked out really well for my friends and I because we wanted a quieter place after a day of sightseeing in Vienna. Everywhere is pretty close in Vienna, so I don't think this would be an issue for anyone.
Benedikt was very quick to reply when I was booking the place and had questions, so that was great. We didn't get a chance to meet Benedikt, but he asked someone to pick us up from the train station to go to the apartment, and that was really nice of him.
Overall, I definitely highly recommend the place for anyone going to Vienna...
It was a nice and clean apartment, two bus stations away from the metro station.
I quite love Vienna, I must admit. My fiance and I live in Hamburg (he and I are both originally from Los Angeles). He and I brought a friend of mine visiting from San Diego to see the arguably more eccentric Germanic culture that is Austria. Excellent three day trip, and not in small part thanks to Benedikt.
Excellent host! Benedikt even considers the small touches. The place was beautiful and located in a small community on the west side of Vienna. We had breakfast each morning at Cafe Schwarz on the corner right at the bus stop that takes you to the Ober St. Viet U-Bahn station (a two minute walk from the apartment). There are also two grocery stores to stock up on some essentials if you don't want to eat out. The buses to Ober St. Viet run frequently; the buses to the other close station, Hütteldorf, run a little less frequently, but not to worry, you are (hopefully) on vacation and therefore time is flexible! Benedikt has your back with a folio of maps and bus schedules at the ready.
One night during our trip we were out late at the Opera and came back for some 6 EUR pizza around the corner at Piccolo's (if you go in and take out most of the pizzas are only 6 EUR each). Highly recommend it for a late night snack.
Keep in mind, the apartment's location does require a 10 min bus ride followed by a 20 min U-Bahn ride to get to the city center, but if you are like us and enjoy the charming areas outside of the city center this place is for you. You can buy one ticket that lets you ride the buses and the U-Bahn (as well as other transit methods as well, I think, although not the private CAT train to and from the airport) for one low price (we had a 72-hour ticket for 13EUR). But remember if you take the S-Bahn into the city center from the Airport instead of the private CAT train or a car service that the daily transit passes aren't enough--you have to also buy a EUR 1.70 pass to add on (city center + outside trip). But if you forget you can still buy one on the train (with the 2 EUR service charge). Ask anyone at the airport for help if you don't understand the ticket machines. We used the S-Bahn back and forth from the airport (S-Bahn 7 to U-Bahn 4 to Bus to home--sounds like a lot but it isn't), but keep in mind that the schedule with the S-Bahn can be tricky. Long story short, S-Bahn is cheap, but requires a bit of patience :)
Have fun in Vienna!
