Some opinions about the Ormeau Road;
Eilish Stocks "It's vibrant and quirky in a very Northern Ireland way. The local cafe, Graffiti, serves scrumptious food. A good mix of people: Catholic alongside Protestant, but also working class, middle class and bohemian.
Louise Bennett "It's a really close-knit community."
Terri Shields "The best thing is Ormeau Park, which includes a golf course, tennis arena, play areas and space to forget city life."
Margaret Ewins "The regeneration in the city centre is spreading down here and it's becoming like central Belfast. Apartment blocks are springing up. It's bringing in new people, and they're seeing what a beautiful place it really is."
Within a 10min walk you will be at the begining of the Lagan towpath wich takes the walker along the river and canal system through a variety of wetland, riverside meadows and mixed woodland from Belfast to Lisburn. Home to a variety of wildlife, the canal system dates back to the late 18th century and many features still give an insight into the majestic era of the lighter - the name for the boats that originally travelled on the Lagan Canal.
There's frequent buses from Ormeau Road to city centre, every 10/15min week days, Any bus that stops on the Ormeau road will take you to the city centre in 10 min.
It's a 30 min leisurely walk to the city centre, about 5 Pounds in a taxi.
You can Park in our street for free.
From the airport, take the bus to the city then any number 7 bus from opposite the bus station will take you to the Ormeau road. Your stop is the Old bakery building, we are a few minutes from there.

Miriam and Chris are the kindest and loveliest people you may ever think to meet. I moved in Belfast and during the first days I stayed in their house with my mother to look for an accommodation for the next months.
Miriam helped me to look for a room, she gave me a lot of advices and I still don't know how to thank her and Chris. They took care of me and made me feel at ease.
Something about the house: comfortable, modern, tidy and clean. Just perfect and in a perfect position.
It was lovely to have met Miriam and Chris and I will never be able to thank them enough.
Mariam was the nicest! She's so warm and welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The house is confortable, shower had great pressure, bed was good and location is a short and very cheap cab ride to centre or 40 min walk if you stroll like me.
We had a very comfortable stay in Miriam's house. Both Chris and Miriam were lovely people. They were extremely friendly and inviting. Our stay was very short, but it would have been a lovely spot for a longer stay too. We were able to help ourselves to breakfast in the morning and the house was very comfortable and tidy and cosy. Thanks Miriam and Chris for having us!
My friend and I absolutely loved staying with Miriam! Although just one night stay, Miriam let me feel really warm and comfortable. What the previous reviews told are true. Miriam even response my question at 4am, she is a nice and consideration host. I have a fantastic stay with her.
