  • Ganga Vatika Guest House was the perfect home base for my first visit to Rishikesh (and India!). The room was well-appointed and immaculate; the grounds are lovely; and the location is convenient walking distance from Ram Jhula bridge. What really made this stay amazing was the company/staff at Ganga Vatika and its attendant Yogalaya Ashrama. Ana is a caring, supportive host, who made me feel safe and welcome. As a woman traveling alone, this meant so much to me. Ana arranged harmonium lessons for me with Bhagirathi, another wonderful staff member at Ganga Vatika. I learned so much and was truly touched and humbled by that experience. Bhagirathi was kind enough to let me practice the harmonium post-lesson on the roof of the Guest House headquarters, which has stunning views out over Rishikesh. So incredible! I also participated in yoga classes on site, attended aarti (a traditional light-offering ritual), and experienced my first homa (or havan), a fire ceremony performed by one of the resident monks, Vedanta, who led me through a series of gorgeous chants and tailored the ceremony according my Nakshatra (or birth star) in Hindu astrology. It was beyond reasonable description. But suffice it to say that many aspects of my trip felt "once-in-a-lifetime," and my experiences at Ganga Vatika are inextricably connected to that feeling. I traveled other places after leaving the charm and comfort of the Guest House, but I continue to think of the place and people there long after I left. Highly recommend.

  • Super room, super location, super clean and on top of those very friendly and helpful hosts ! The guesthouse is located in a new and safe residential complex a bit on the hill side but just ten minutes walk to Ram Jhula. Well I booked only 3 nights and ended up staying for about 1 month ! Also Ana can provide you with delicious and not spicy European food which I really enjoyed. I absolutely reccomend this place and I would myself go back on my next trip to Rishikesh !

  • It was my second time at Ganga Vatika and I am sure about choosing it whenever I visit Rishikesh. This place is not only charming but also very peaceful and relaxing. Its located in the best neighbourhood in Rishikesh!

+ You get to see the amazing Yogalaya ashram ( Built and maintained by Ana and group)

+ Ana is a great host and a wonderful person! she takes all the effort to make sure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay. Also she showed around the ashram and told us the inspiring story of her Guruji. (I will make sure to re-visit when Guruji is in the ashram)

Amazing Experience! Would recommend to all :)

Thank-you for a lovely stay. Hope we will come again one day.

  • What an amazing place you have created - in the heart of Rishikesh, but away from everything; it was very peaceful and charming - we really wish we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely be back!
