We very much welcome you in our B & B which is build under architecture by the Dutch Architect Berlage. It's situated in a lively neighbourhood in the Eastern part of Amsterdam, with many small restaurants, little shops, a market and two parks nearby. We are situated 5 minutes walking distances away from the Metro station as well as train station (easy if you have to travel from and to the airport) that will take you within 5 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam. Our bed & breakfast was recently renovated and includes 3 rooms : 2 double bedrooms , a separate living room annex kitchenette with an extra sleeping couch, as well as a separate bathroom.
Bikes can be rented for 10 euro per day
In the kitchenette you will find a microwave, a oven a waterboiler, a coffeemachine a fridge a bread toaster and cups and plates ect to prepaire breakfast

After a 40 minute trip from the airport by train and metro, Mercedes welcomed us warmly and had lots of useful advice about what to do in Amsterdam.
The studio is clean, comfortable and well equipped with all the crockery and cutlery you could ever need as well as microwave, coffee machine, and mini oven. There was an ample supply of teas, coffee and snacks and Mercedes had kindly bought us food and juice for breakfast the next day.
It's worth noting that the studio is not self-contained. It is on the top 2 floors of a house with a main bedroom, communal area and bathroom on one floor with a second bedroom in the loft accessed up a steep ladder. It is slightly awkward going up and down the ladder and you need to mind your head and step.
It's around a 5 minute walk to the Metro and then only a few stops into the city so is in a great location. It's also ideally located if you are going to the Ziggo Dome which is a few stops in the other direction.
Overall, we had a very pleasant visit and would happily stay here again on a future trip.
My friends and I stayed at Magnolia for 4 nights when we came for the documentary film festival in Amsterdam. The apartment is lovely, warm and it was good to have the cosy kitchen space where we could gather, work and prepare for festival activities.Mercedes is a great host and was very helpful with various necessities, I wish there had been more time to chat before we had to leave.
It was my second time in Amsterdam and for two my friends, with whom I traveled, it was their first time in the city. My friends from Russia knew what place should choose for a birthday party and they were absolutely right about the city and an appartment.
Firstly, the apartment is in a walking distance from the subway and it is easy to find without a navigator. Also this place is really close to a huge transport hub, about 10 minutes, where you can go to nearby cities. Near the house there are many different shops and restaurants, so you can have breakfast or dinner there, and opposite to the exit from the subway station there is a large supermarket, which has everything you need. That's why I really dont speak english well, thanx to Yuri for this translation.
Secondly, Mercedes is really nice hostess. she met and accomodate us as we are part of her family. Mercedes gave details of nearby attractions, nightlife areas, gave advice how to get more comfortable in the places that we were interested in, treated us to her favorite pear nectar. Such details never forget.
Thirdly, the apartment was immaculate clean and tidy everywhere: in the spacious bathroom, and a kitchen, and in both rooms.
Fourthly, we were pleasantly surprised by the presence of delicious ground coffee, cream, various sorts of tea. Usually appartments for rent either empty or just with a couple of tea bags. And there was variety and high quality products.
Fifthly, Mercedes kindly helped with washing clothes and didn't take payment for that. We appreciate that.
Sixthly, the hostess comes when we need her. In the rest of the time she was at her place. The only slight drawback was the steep stairscase from the third to the fourth floor to the bedroom. But we got used to it already on the second day.
We are pleased and happy to recommend to all hospitable hostess Mercedes and her amazing appartment. =)
Illya and his friends were a joy to have around. they brought with them as a present very nice russina cholate as well as a fancy t shirt. they were very cheerfull and kind and respectfull. they were always in good spirit and didn't get mad with me when a lost some of there socks in the washing proces. fortunatly i find them again since the were very pretty socks. the house felt rather empty after they had left for a couple of days. in short nice guys and i can surerly recommand them to everybody
Situated in a lovely and quiet place, Magnolia is a real comfortable house typically Holland! Five minutes walking to the metro station (another three stops to the central one), and several markets. Easy to reach from the airport. Should you need any information feel free to ask to Mercedes: she is so friendly and kind!
We had a very nice journey!
Mercedes was very nice and made us feel very welcome. Her house is very nice and quite and the location is perfect (Next to the Amstel station).
I 3was a bit surprised about the fact that we could not cook in the kitchen, so that made us have to go out for dinner every night. (Thats expensive in Amsterdam)
La anfitriona es muy agradable, y nos acogio muy bien, nos proporciono información sobre Amsterdam . El apartamento es correcto y situado en una barrio tranquilo y bien comunicado.
