This is a cozy place far enough from the tourist strip without being totally isolated, The neighborhood is lush and hilly and quiet except for the birds (including peacocks and roosters). Also, you don't hear the airport but the walls are paper thin so you can't be the type that has loud conversations or who is bothered by them. It is about 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from the Kona town, and about 25-40 from the nice beaches on the Kohala coast. The gas station at the top of the hill has plenty of groceries, good prepared food, and pizza. Razia was easy to communicate with, Kathy Jo was very friendly, check-in and parking were easy. This place has everything to live in Hawaii for a week--full fridge, coffee maker, toaster, hotplate, microwave, pots& pans, some pantry staples, bath products, sunscreen/bug spray, boogie boards, beach towels, snorkels&fins, cooler, extra blankets/mattress, board games, books. There is a picnic table on a grassy area outside with a nice view. Basically, it has everything you need with no frills, no romance. This is a great place for travelers who will be spending most of their trip out and about exploring. We had a great time here. It was just right for our needs this trip.

Very comfortable for 3 people to stay. The location is a bit out of the way of the city but I preferred to stay in this location because the weather is cooler in this area. This unit is attached to the house but it was not an issue at all. Kathy Jo came over to introduce herself when my family checked in and she was very nice and accommodating. There was also snorkel gear available which was very convenient. I actually left some cash in the room and I greatly appreciated that Kathy Jo contacted me to return the money. I had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Nice apartment with private entrance and parking. Even though the space was physically connected to the main home we never saw the other people except when Dorothy Jo came by to introduce herself and make sure we had everything we needed. The walls are thin though so on occasion we could hear people, it was also a reminder that we needed to make sure we didn't get too crazy loud :) The location was fantastic, super close to the beaches, Kona and most importantly the airport making our departure day a breeze. The house has all the basics a fridge, induction hot plate, microwave, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach towels etc. We especially enjoyed the house geckos and exploring the plants and animals in the yard. Overall, great location and good value.

Razia's place was cozy, clean and spacious for our family of three people. The two bedrooms, (one has an access to backyard and parking lot and another has a kitchen with it) and one bathroom were convenient. It has a great view and very close to Airport and stores. Razia was a very nice person with a beautiful smile who warmly welcomed us and was very responsive to my messages.

Yes, great view! Nice and private too. Very comfortable for two adults, one child, and our baby (in a pack and play). Beds were comfy. The kitchen worked great for our needs. It was my first time using a hot plate and I liked it. It's easy and quick to drive into Kona. Overall, a good spot to use for a couple days while your exploring the island.

Little confusing getting in, the directions weren't very clear. It was also quite far from the main attractions and from town. Otherwise, it fits the need

Aloha! I'm a ballroom dancer, gardener, animal lover and a pretty good cook. I've lived in Hawaii almost 30 years - so tourist questions? Yep, I can answer them! I have two beautiful accomplished young adult daughters. One is in medical school and the other is a veterinarian living abroad. Yes, I'm proud! I LOVE to travel and have used AirBnB myself. I have my own properties and also manage properties for a few friends. I promise to take very good care of you, before and during your stay - always with Aloha!
