***about your hosts****

Hello! We're seasoned hosts AND guests on airbnb, and have welcomed people from cities near and far! The experiences and friends we've made through Airbnb have been - to say with no exaggeration - life-changing.

We've have the fortune of meeting many wonderful people, visiting New York for leisure, business, and even finding an apartment. Your story is important to us, so please let us know what we can do to make your time here the best it can be.

***about the apartment and room***

The apartment is a large 2 bedroom; we are in one room, you/you+friends will be in the other bedroom.

You are welcome to hang out in the living room and also to use the kitchen. There is 1 bathroom and this is shared.

Your room has a custom-built bed frame that holds two twin beds. For couples, these mattresses are joined together. There is a small closet that you may use and plenty of floor space to put large luggage. There is air conditioning and heat. And wifi!

If you like adorable parrots, then you're in for an adorable treat :-) Farofa is our blue front amazon and everyone who has met him loves him. He's a social and well-behaved bird, and can usually be found on Sei's hand or eating from his bowl.

**If you are booking the ENTIRE APARTMENT, then you/you+friends will have the entire apartment to yourselves. This option is available but please specify this in your message and I can give the appropriate rate**

***about the neighborhood***

You'll be in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. It's a 15-minute subway ride to Manhattan on the C train, and on the 2/3 train ( both within 4-6 blocks of apt) and the subways run all day and night here. In the neighborhood, there are many bars and a variety of restaurants—Japanese, French, Italian, really good pizza, and even Jamaican are all represented. You're steps from the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. This is a neighborhood where real New Yorkers live. On Saturdays, you're a few blocks from Brooklyn Flea, a marrakech-style market that sells just about anything. There's so much more, so if you're interested, please ask!

If you consider yourself a Traveler (and NOT a Tourist) and want to see and live life as a New Yorker, with inside access to great eating, good parties, and the best-kept secrets, then your stay here will be worth it! We still keep in touch with several of my guests, as friends, and am actually planning to visit a few. Who knows, maybe you'll host us someday!

Check In
  • Sei and Daniela were lovely hosts during our one-week holiday in New York. Sei is a real local, obviously, and he provided us with very useful suggestions about food, things to see, etc. The location of the flat worked out fine for us, close to Metro and buses and prompted us to stroll extensively through the Brooklyn neighborhoods. We would totally recommend this place for a New York trip, if Sei and Daniela weren't packing their stuff for themselves. So we wish you a pleasant and successful time to come. Warm greetings.

  • Sei and Daniela are great hosts and true Brooklyn savants. They couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs and were a mine of information on not-in-the-guidebook landmarks and restaurants, near and far. Our stay with Sei and Daniela enriched our time in New York and we hope to visit them again in the near future.

  • As my first experience through AirBnb, I had a good time staying at Sei and Daniela's place. Sei was accommodating and helpful with recommendations around the neighborhood. The room that I stayed in was clean and tidy. The Brooklyn neighborhood it is situated in has a great variety of eateries close by and blocks away from the subway. From the beginning to the end of my stay it was painless and easy going.

  • Staying with Sei and Daniela was like staying with friends that I hadn't seen in a while, even though I didn't know them before I stayed with them. Their home was very welcoming and clean. Sei went above and beyond being helpful when a mix up over check in happened. Both Sei and Daniela were very helpful with questions about things to do and how to navigate the subway system during my stay. I highly recommend staying with them if you have the chance

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Sei + Daniela house. They were very friendly, the room was also nice. The appartment has a good location. It is near to Brooklyn Heights and to the line C that brings you directly to Manhattan. Highly recommended!
    Thanks again guys!
See you again somewhere in the world! :)

  • I came to New York with my boyfriend for our one year anniversary and we stayed with Sei. It was our first time using airbnb and we couldn't have asked for better hosts! We didn't get to see much of Sei or Daniela because we were out all day long, thanks to Sei's great recommendations on sights and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying with Sei. He's a really cool, genuine guy and always willing to help out.

  • Sei is a great host with a clean and quiet apartment. I stayed at his place while I went apartment hunting throughout NYC. He gave me some great tips on finding one. Prospect Heights is a safe neighborhood with a lot shops nearby and Prospect Park is a short walk away.

  • Sei was a fantastic host during our short stay there. He was very hospitable towards us and even gave us good recommendations on the best eateries and things to do in Brooklyn. Would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area.

Sei is a writer, artist, avid traveler, and loves to cook and make pizzas especially! He's a native New Yorker, so you can ask him anything about Manhattan, Brooklyn, and even Queens, and you'll likely find yourself nose-deep in a bowl of exotic noodles or at a dimly-lit soiree featuring soul LPs. Daniela is a lover and scholar of language, a horror film aficionado, and has been to almost every country in Europe and South America. She loves black beans. A proud Carioca (person from Rio de Janeiro), she likes it when you are also relaxed :-)
