In the heart of the city, just a few passes from Rialto Bridge and Piazza S. Marco and very handy for public transport you will find Cà Allegra (happy house), your home in Venice!
The apartment is composed of a small but well-equipped kitchen, a living-room with a sofa-bed and dining area, a bathroom, a master bedroom and storage area.
Cà Allegra is very central (between Campo S. Lio and Campo S. Marina) but peaceful as it is tucked away in a quiet alleyway.
The vaporetto stops (the water-bus public transport) numbers 1 and 2 at Rialto are five minutes from the flat along with everything else you might need, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, shops, banks, literally round the corner or easily reached.
Cà Allegra is an elegant and bright Venetian apartment on the third floor from which you can have a splendid view of the "altane", wooden terraces built upon the distinctive roofs of the city.
From there it is an easy walk to the two most famous tourist attractions, Piazza S. Marco and Rialto Bridge. Or you can simply choose to lose yourself among the less frequented alleys and byways of this unique city where you will always find something beautiful or interesting to see. My advice is to wander around Venice following your nose, even though it might lead you on some unexpected adventures!
Pets are accepted by prior arrangement.
For arrivals after 8:00p.m. has an extra cost of € 30.00 to be paid at check-in.
If you liked what you found let it stay for the guest who will come after you.
Respect your neighbors avoiding noise.
Everything was fine. Great help from Sandra, nice apartment, very central and even though calm. We used the apartment as a two-bedroom-apartment with the couch sofa in the living room. It works. Thanks again for beautiful days in venice.
We really admired our staying in Sandra's appartments! It is like home without the doubt! All you want to have for comfortable vocation you can find in Ca Allegra!
We are the family with two daughters 10 years old. The Ca Allegra appartment is good for both a family and a couple.
Sandra was so kind to meet us near the Rialto Bridge. You need only about 5 minutes to take the appartments. The street is quiet, any noise. It takes you 2-3 minutes to get the supermarket Coop with all grosseries you may need. It works till 20.00 p.m. On the next side of the Rialto Bridge there is the Rialto Central Market. There we have bought the fresh fish, salad, vegetables. The bank is nearby, the currency exhange is close too.
The kitchen has all equipment you may need. The breakfasts Sandra left us were very good: coffee, tea, fresh fruits, milk, cereal, bread, butter, jam. Also there is the olive oil, balsamic vinegar , sugar, solt, spaghetti. The bathroom is cosy, the rooms are warm and cute.
The location of the appartment is its advantage! It take 5-15 minutes walk to take all the places of interest.
Sandra was very attentive to us, she have given us the Venice map and informed us about restraunts, grossery shops, places of interest, museums.
We enjoyed our staying in Sandra's appartment and want to visit it again.

Our experience was excellent and reflects other positive guest reviews. It was a perfect home for our stay in Venice.
Sandra was so helpful in meeting us at the Rialto Vaporetto stop on our arrival, and spent a lot of time acquainting us with the apartment and the city. Her map and recommendations were an amazing help. The building is in a great location for touristing, and anything we needed was within a few minutes walk.
The kitchen is really well equipped and had far more than we needed for our stay. Sandra’s gracious provision of fruits, juice, and other foods were really nice too!
The bedroom was perfect with comfortable bed and pillows. Noise levels from the street were never a problem and the windows had shutters and curtains.
The bathroom was spacious, clean and bright. North Americans accustomed to 80 PSI water pressure and standard shower fixtures might find the shower/tub a change, but it was totally fine.
The sitting room was bright and comfy as well and wifi worked everywhere in the apartment.
Excellent location, thoughtfully equipped (coffee, wine, breakfast supplies, kitchen, wifi), helpful and accommodating hostess. Third floor walk-up, fun rooftop view. Highly recommend, would happily return.
Sandra's place was beautiful! Perfectly located, both bank and grocery store were within a block. Sandra left us fresh fruit and the cupboards were stocked with bread, pasta, milk, juice, far above and beyond what was expected. It was a delightful touch. We enjoyed using her kitchen to cook delicious meals.
The place was roomy and other than the low water pressure in the shower we had no complaints. We were also able to do laundry, and it was nice to leave with fresh smelling clothes!
If staying here be prepared for the noise of the street and neighbours due to thin walls, something that is common in venice. Bring earplugs even if you are a heavy sleeper, and you will be fine.
Sandra was VERY helpful, providing us with ample local information prior to, and upon arrival. The place is easy to find, but Sandra will meet you to bring you to the apartment. Be aware that if you are taking regional trains you will be late to meet her, so let her know in advance. Also if you have no internet access, as we did, you will have to be prepared to call her via pay phone.
Thanks Megan for your lovely review which I really appreciated. But about the noises in the street I would like to inform all who read this review that Megan stayed in Cà Allegra during the last night of Carnival. Unfortunately, some people continue the party in the street until the next morning.
Megan, I'm sorry! Sandra

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Sandra is a wonderful host and her apartment was perfect in all regards. Before arriving, Sandra reached out to give us instructions on how best to navigate the confusing water bus (vaporetto) system and even met us at the stop to take us back to apartment so we wouldn't get lost. Our train was also delayed by two hours, but she was completely accommodating and greeted us with nothing but a positive attitude. She also gave us a map of Venice and marked it with her personal suggestions for restaurants, museums, and masks (we went for Carnevale). The apartment is in the best possible location, less than five minutes walk from Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, centrally located, and in a safe and quiet area. The apartment is clean and well furnished and Sandra even stocked the pantry and fridge with fruit, cereal, eggs, and juice for our breakfast. We were a group of 4 and felt very at home in Sandra's apartment. I would recommend both Sandra and the apartment for anyone looking for a wonderfully accommodating host and a clean, safe, comfortable, centrally located (website hidden). Don't wait; book now!
