The house is in the heart of San Luis Obispo's University neighborhood. However, depending on the time of year, you may not have to worry about any college happenings or seeing students. Close to the wonderful & historic downtown, many beautiful beaches, hiking and mountain biking trails, greats bars & restaurants, a farmer's market extravaganza every Thursday, various vineyards/wineries, beer tasting & breweries, & even a classic drive-in movie cinema about 5 minutes away.
Public buses are right around the corner. There are also 2 very reliable taxi companies in SLO, "zip cars" for daily rental about 5 minutes away on the Cal Poly campus, bike rentals, and various car rentals. In addition, the Amtrak train & bus station is just a mile down the road and there is an airport in town as well. I can provide you the information for all of these transportation services upon request.
Please message me with any concerns or questions you may have! No Worries, Enjoy your Stay :)

Excellent communication despite the distance (Nick was staying in Europe at that time.), great house in a quiet neighborhood, super fare. Definitely recommendable!
Nic was the best! He was super accommodating and helped my buddies and I out in any way possible. The place was a great spot to crash as we traveled through on our way down the coast and in a perfect location in San Luis Obispo! Definitely recommend Nic and the Cozy "No Worries" Home to any guests planning a trip through California or to San Luis Obispo. Thanks again for everything, Nic!

Nic is very easy to communicate with but his home is really only for very young people. I used it with my 81 year old mom and my 9 year old daughter and it was not suitable. The home was very dirty, the couch sliced, the art on the wall was not appropriate for my young daughter or my mom and the sheets did not smell fresh. The mattress pad that is suggested for a 3rd guest is a joke. It's really a tiny foam and I basically slept on the dirty floor. Not fun. The home should not be advertised for 3 people. We did not even have toilet paper and not a single extra roll in the house. The price was great but I would have made a better choice in one of the cheap hotels with two beds.
I enjoyed staying in this affordable cottage in San Luis Obispo. Checking in was a breeze and Nic goes out of his way to answer questions quickly. It is a 15 minute walk, or 5 minute drive, into downtown. If you are looking for an inexpensive lodging option, look no further!
Nic's home was a cozy, clean, and all-around enjoyable place to stay for the weekend after the new year. The house has great light, a nice living room and kitchen. He also has a back deck that makes a great place to have breakfast in the morning on nice days. We had a great time hiking in Los Osos, eating oysters in Morro Bay and wine tasting in Paso Robles.
Nic was super communicative and very relaxed. He always responded quickly to emails or calls.
In general we had a great stay and would definitely come back again!
It was a great experience and he was a nice host and regularly checked-in.
Nic was a great host, always responsive on the phone and really made us feel welcome and at home. His place was clean, cozy and comfortable. We would definetly stay there again. The town is a great stop and the views are beautiful. The drive-in cinema which is a 5 minute drive away is a fun experience.
Nice little cozy cottage that Nic does a good job of presenting in his posting. I did not read carefully enough though, and without a computer, was unable to watch TV or movies there. Nic was very solicitous in the days leading up to our stay and during our stay to make sure things were clear and working well for us.
It was about a 10 or 15 minute bike ride into town from here. There is a nice ride too all the way to the beach at Avila. Very comfy bed and good water pressure in the shower.
Also be aware that guests are expected to do the cleaning. Thanks, Nic and good luck.
