I am a musician playing in a touring band and am frequently out of town. I live in an amazing part of the city surrounded by some of San Francisco's "must-see" attractions.
A short walk away is Polk Street (dining, cafe's, bars and nightlife), a grocery store, a neighborhood market and some dining on the same block, a Farmers' Market ($10 will buy you veggies for a week!), Powell street shopping, trolley cars, and Lombard St. (the world's crookedest street) to name a few (Please see my Guidebook for extensive listings!).
At the end of the day you really just need a quiet place all to yourself to sleep. My studio is on the 4th story and has airtight window insulation to keep the noise, and cold, out.
-clean, organized unit
-fresh bedding, linens
-washer/dryer in basement
-parking lots close (pay by day/hour)
In the past I've used (website hidden) to sublet my studio with mixed results. I'm excited to use Airbnb and be part of a community that I plan to use myself!
Great value for money. Good location, place is a little run down but I think that is understandable. Deducting a star because Landon delayed my check-in until 8pm. Otherwise though, the place was clean and he left some beers for me. Thanks!
I staid at Landon's place for two weeks. For business purposes. It is greatly located, and with my bicycle I was very close to any place in SF, 10-15 minutes Caltrain. It is walking distance of Bart, downtown, restaurant, grocery...
The flat is very sunny, which is pleasant as I did work some days from it. And is fairly equipped. When you have five minute you can go to the top of Nob Hill and you have pleasant garden to spend a few hours or minutes.
Landon was reactive and the process to get in and out the flat is really smooth.
I'm a runner, and it is a great place to run to Marina and then down embarcadero, and back through Market and Sutter Street. Fantastic view all the way through.
Landon was a super responsive and helpful host. His place was clean and well located. He seems pretty serious about no guests and fyi you can't have your shoes on in the apartment. Place is a little bit run down but typical for the area. Overall a great stay :)
The experience with Landon and his studio was a positive one both before, and during our stay. As I was making arrangements for my son's first stay ever in SF (for a music school audition), I was no doubt high-maintenance - Landon was very patient, helpful, and instrumental in planning for my son's stay. Although he was out of town during the stay, he enlisted the help of a friend for the key exchange - he was also very responsive and helpful throughout the stay.
Landon's studio was exactly as portrayed, both inside and out. It's a neat old building (with a cool old-style elevator) in a decent neighborhood - truly a few minutes from SO MUCH in the downtown area.
Landon's instructions pre- and post-stay were crystal clear, and his house rules were certainly reasonable. As a fellow musician, my son was fond of the studio's motif - and, he did enjoy perusing several of the books on the shelf.
Though we only communicated via email and text, our transaction with Landon was as if we were good friends. I highly recommend his studio for your next trip to SF -- and if my son does end up going to school there, rest assured I'll be looking to stay at his place myself when I visit.
Thanks for your help in making this a wonderful trip, Landon!
I was looking for a cost effective place to stay near downtown San Francisco that had a kitchen so I could cook some of my own meals. Landon's place is just the right size for one person or a couple. It had everything you needed for a short or long term stay (no tv or microwave for people who can't live without). It's in a funky neighborhood that is close to everything. I had no trouble finding interesting places to eat and drink. It is near the Tenderloin and you have to walk through that neighborhood if you need to get to the Bart (people who are not city folk or aren't familiar with that area may want to avoid it - plenty of other ways to get around).
Landon was super responsive and got me in to his cool flat with no troubles. The place is centrally located and a quick walk to Market street.
Would definitely stay again!
This was my first airbnb experience and I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Very good location, many transportation options and lots of places close by for food and utilities. Van Ness Av just a couple of blocks away which gives you access to all SF. Landon was very easy to work with, excellent communication. Apartment very clean with everything you need for a good sleep, rest and hot shower.
Landon's apartment was very centrally located, and the neighborhood felt safe even with its proximity to the Tenderloin. Internet worked well and the apartment was clean. Recommended for its price relative to a great central location.
small apartment very well located, 10 minutes walk from Union Square.
The studio is perfect for a single person who only seeks a foothold in San Francisco. The price is good, we should not be looking at the design and the age of the site. Very good communication with Landon.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
