I am a musician playing in a touring band and am frequently out of town. I live in an amazing part of the city surrounded by some of San Francisco's "must-see" attractions.
A short walk away is Polk Street (dining, cafe's, bars and nightlife), a grocery store, a neighborhood market and some dining on the same block, a Farmers' Market ($10 will buy you veggies for a week!), Powell street shopping, trolley cars, and Lombard St. (the world's crookedest street) to name a few (Please see my Guidebook for extensive listings!).
At the end of the day you really just need a quiet place all to yourself to sleep. My studio is on the 4th story and has airtight window insulation to keep the noise, and cold, out.

I couldn't have picked a better apartment for my five day stay in San Francisco. Landon's apartment is in a fantastic location in Nob Hill, and you've got coffee shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner. I arrived late at night and just went around the corner to get a bottle of wine, some cheese, fruits and yogurt for breakfast.
It was easy enough to get into the apartment, based on Landon's directions, and I really had no problems while staying there. The wifi works fine and the kitchen had all the utensils I needed. There's no TV, but that was ok with me as I watch most stuff online.
In terms of cleanliness, it's not the cleanest apartment I've ever stayed at, but it's not bad. The most important areas (bed, kitchen, shower, toilet bowl) are very clean. You'll have to live with some dirt in the corners. It's also an old apartment, so a little bit run down. But if you're fine with that, you'll love your stay. I did, and would definitely stay there again.
Great location, near plenty of restaurants, transportation, etc. Landon is very helpful and always only a phone call away if you need anything. Not the cleanest place, but heh, location, location, location!
easy to get into the apartment. good communication. apartment was...fine. nothing special about it. I wish it "felt" cleaner. function of being an old building, stained carpets, etc. It was clean though.
Didn't inspire me to want to stay in the apartment and hang out, rather go out and about.
Street noise pretty loud.
Slept great though, shower was fantastic, no real issues. I still would recommend the apartment to others!
nice, clean, comfy apartment. Landon was helpful and prompt in replying to questions. good neighbourhood
Landon was very responsive and I had no trouble getting into the apartment. The location was about a 10 minute walk to Moscone center and near a number of restaurants.
One thing to note, is that the apartment is above a bar and due to the baseball playoffs the crowd was rather loud until about 12 am. This didn't bother me at all as I am a deep sleeper.
Landon was a good host. Very responsive and coped well with me changing entry times around on account of being on a business trip. The place is a bit run down for the money I paid. Clean, cosy but tired in terms of furnishings and linen.
