Private log cabin nestled in the woods beside roaring Howard's Creek. Located only about 7 minutes from Boone with easily accessible roads. Close to the action, but completely in a paradise setting where you will be sure to unwind. Come and relax, get away from it all, and enjoy all that the High Country has to offer.
See "Streamside Retreat 2" for another nearby Streamside log cabin provided by the same owner, allowing larger groups to book, sleeping up to 14. Both cabins have new central A/C!
The space
Well-kept, and tastefully furnished, rustic but modern log cabin with ample space for families and kids with multiple living areas including a living room, den, game room, large enclosed sunroom (with floor-to-ceiling sliding screened windows to let in the cool breezes and the sounds of the noisy creek below. Outdoor spaces included a large covered front porch with swing, back deck for grilling/entertaining, a side patio off the den for fire circle gatherings, and bench seating at the lower fire pit on the stream. Situated on a very wooded lot, the cabin includes 2 large bedrooms and bath on the main level, a master on the second floor with it's own sitting area and bath, and a large sofa and bunk bed (twin up and double down) in the den below for kids to enjoy.
Guest access
Guests can access the entire house except for locked owner's area in the basement and 2 owners closets.
Other things to note
**We have a minimum age policy of 23, due to some unfortunate past uses of our properties by younger guests**
Please do not use the driveways of neighbors to turn around. They have complained about this in the past.
