The Space

Retro Ranch is in a quiet area of the hip East side - close to great locally owned shops, restaurants & bars. I offer guests a curated map & guide to vintage, record shops, seasonal & vegan dining options, music, coffee, dives and hidden gems!

This spacious home in a quieter area of East Nashville, close to great local shopping, dining and bars in Riverside Village, Eastland Avenue, Five Points and convenient to downtown Nashville and the Opryland Convention Center.

An experienced host, I have been with Airbnb for 4 years and very fortunate to have met so many wonderful guests!

This 3-bedroom 1960s style ranch house is colorfully decorated with retro furnishings and decor and home to a professional photographer with 2 friendly little dogs, who would be happy to show you their tricks!

Originally from Chicago, I moved to Nashville 14 years ago and bought this home in 2005. I love the diverse music scene here in Nashville, the arts, food, vintage finds, and the beauty of Tennessee... hiking, rivers, waterfalls...

  • We had a great Nashville stay at Kristina's place. This was our first time staying in a private room in a shared house, and it was pleasant. We had a private bathroom and the room was good-sized so we were quite comfortable in the space. The bed was cozy and the room has a ceiling fan, which was key for summer temps. (She does have AC) Kristina (email hidden) and we enjoyed our chats, though we didn't hang out at the house much. (It's Nashville!). She had coffee, tea, and a breakfast basket of bars, etc which was a lovely treat the morning of our departure. (We had brunch plans the first morning. Try The Southern...yummm!) She also had a binder of helpful info like food options and maps and was very helpful as we looked for a place to listen to music on Sunday night. We even ended up at the same east Nashville venue. (We are so 'local' :)

The location was good, though a bit further east in East Nashville than I expected. Not a problem getting uber rides to her place. About $9-12 on average to get downtown. And even less to get to the Moscow Mules at the Village Tavern. (Monday they are half-priced - $3!!)

Overall, we had a great stay!! Thanks Kristina!

  • Kristina was a gracious and helpful host, and made sure that my husband and I enjoyed our stay. Her home was clean, cozy and conveniently located. Just a quick drive to downtown, and surrounded by plenty of great neighborhood spots in East Nashville. I also loved the bike and running trails nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Kristina's "East Nashville Retro Ranch" was a little hard to find, but once found it was in a convenient location to restaurants, coffee shops, etc. (5 minute drive) in the East Nashville neighborhood. Kristina had a lot of maps, restaurant menus, etc. that were very helpful when deciding where to go. I felt very safe in the house. There's an alarm system - if you're not used to an alarm system, it's not that hard to learn how to use (there's a chance you may accidentally set off the alarm though, no big deal!). The bed was very comfy and it was nice to have the bathroom connected to the bedroom. Very clean. Shower was excellent too. Breakfast was the usual ... fruit, granola bars, tea, coffee, and granola. Dogs were well behaved and cute. Kristina was a friendly, helpful host!

  • We couldn't have (email hidden) to call our home away from home for our time in Nashville! My girlfriend and I came for my birthday weekend and chose Kristina's place based on her thorough description and adorable vintage style, and we ended up getting so much more. As she states in her listing, she has loads of information on hip places to check out around East Nashville and beyond, and it really helped us in making the most out of our stay. Her entire home was clean and tidy, and our room was perfectly relaxing. We loved having a separate bathroom and the bed gave us the deepest sleep we've had in a while. Breakfast and snacks were just what we needed for fuel, as she offers yogurt, fruits, oatmeal, and snack bars. Each morning she prepared fresh coffee, and we also had access to her extensive tea collection. Dixie and Lily were also a treat to have around, and were super friendly from the moment we walked through the door. Kristina was (email hidden). We had a lot of personal space while staying there but also looked forward to chatting with her about her life there and the area. We are dying to return to Nashville since falling in love with the city and its people, and we would love to book our stay with her again!

  • My best friend and I found Kristina's place by luck after all of the hotels in downtown Nashville were booked and we were headed for a girl's weekend out. Her place was really so perfect for us and we had so much fun! The bed was amazingly comfortable....we both slept like rocks all weekend. Lilly & Dixie were too cute and we had so much fun cuddling with them. The East Nashville location was perfect too.....just about 10 - 15 minutes to downtown, but we spent most of Saturday in East Nashville's 5 points area...if you like local art and thrift shops, this is the place to go! Kristina offered a whole drawer full of recommendations for places to go and even pointed out her personal favorites for us. She was willing to answer any of our questions and was just a delightful person to "room" with for the weekend. She offered lots of teas, coffee, granolas, yogurts, hot cereals, and sent us with fig bars and granola bars for the ride home. We'll definitely check her out again if we ever go back!

  • We stayed with Kristina for a week and she was a very accommodating hostess! She even DVR'd a TV show for us! Great coffee, tea and breakfast options. There were a number of beeps (alarm on doors) and barks in the morning but she left some new foam earplugs in the room which worked great for sleeping in. Her place was cute and convenient, and the room and adjacent bathroom were great. Definitely recommend!

  • This was the first AirBnB experience for both my cousin and I, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Kristina is wonderful, and her home is absolutely gorgeous. The room was spacious, tidy, and quite darling! The bed itself was very comfortable and the private attached bathroom was really convenient. Her dogs, Lily and Dixie are so cute, we loved seeing them perform their tricks! It made our visit even more personal and lovely. We highly recommend staying here, and wish we could have spent more time with Kristina and her pups! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
