There are many other infos about directions, house rules, groceries and other points of interest in the neighborhood, in the other sections of the listing.
There is only 2 rules that I find important:
1 - The apartment has hard wood floors and the building is old (phone number hidden) was not the best year for walls's soundproofing. So I would appreciate that my guests don't walk in the apartment with leather shoes (hard soles). They are hard for wood floors and really noisy in the stairs. By the same time, try to not run in the stairs, especially evenings and nights. Slippers are availables in the entrance wardrobe.
2 - In the kitchen, there is also a wood countertop. Wooden countertops hate water. I protect them with special oil, from time to time, but it will help a lot if you can be carefull with the water on the countertop. Try to wipe water as much as possible after each (dish) wash. Thanks a lot.
Had a lovely stay in Lydia's charming 2-bedroom flat on the edge of Old Montreal. The location was excellent, only 5 minutes from Vieux Montreal and an 8 minute walk to the Metro and a grocery store. The apartment was so charming (even nicer than the photos!) well-equipped and clean with lots of natural light. We also appreciated the air-conditioning, the shower in the big antique tub and the Wifi. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our host Lydia was very kind and went above and beyond by helping us to find parking when we arrived. The apartment was clean and well maintained. It just 5 minutes on foot to the Metro
First time with Airbnb and Lydia was great to deal with. Really speedy initial response and all arrangements worked out perfectly, despite a late(ish) arrival. Instructions on finding the property were excellent and Lydia was there to greet us, as arranged. Quick tour of the apartment and everything we needed to know about was explained.
The apartment is ideally situated, just on the edge of the old town with an easy stroll to all the attractions. The city centre was also walkable but the metro was close by when needed anyway so finding your way around is not a problem.
We had everything we needed in the apartment but Lydia was always on-hand in the adjacent apartment if we had further queries. We were a party of three and had plenty of space to spread out - a great alternative to hotel rooms! The property is accessed by stairs and was fine for us but care would be needed if walking was a problem. Inside, the apartment was great - quaint with some great old features yet with all mod cons, including wifi and cable TV. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you Lydia.
Levi greeted us and took my husband to find free parking with our van we brought up to move my daughter from McGill. We expected to pay $30 day minimum but Levi knew places to look and the parking was indeed free. The apartment was larger and more attractive than the listing even described. The house had many antiques and felt very sophisticated. The location was right in Old Montreal/ Old Port. We were close to everything and taxis were abundant when we wanted to go to Mount Royal Park. We walked to McGill University. One day was 85 degrees F and one day 62 degrees F. The apartment with its high ceilings and many windows was very comfortable in both temperatures.
Lydia was a great host who just lives next door, so it was very easy to arrange picking up keys and getting any information about the neighbourhood. The location was very close to the metro stations and to Old Port / Old Montreal and walking distance to St-Catherine's street. We had a great time and can't wait to be back!
Myself and two friends shared the apartment for five days in May. We had a beautiful time and we loved the apartment. Accommodations are as described and very comfortable, quiet and close to everything downtown. Our host was so incredibly accommodating at check in as our train arrived 40 min later than expected, so there was very short notice on the late arrival. She has been a prompt replyer throughout our entire contact history. There was a thoughtful list of her contact info, WiFi password, etc left next to the phone. I would highly recommend this listing and would love to stay again when in Montreal in the future.
Excellent location near old town, convention Centre, transit, St. Laurant and St Denis shopping and restaurants. Full kitchen, good internet access, and lots of hot water.
