Saint-Germain-en-Laye is one of the most interesting, historical cities in the Paris area. It has been fortunate enough to have kept much of its original urban layout which dates back to the Middle Ages. Its winding roads and alleys will take you on a historical journey back in time.
This very nice and clean city in the west of Paris is very close to the French capital (20 minutes with express metro - RER A) but far enough to give you is pure air to breathe.
In a building 100 years old, we offer you an independent room with double bed and modern furniture. Shared bathroom.
The flat is located on the 3rd floor with elevator.
You will enjoy a very unique and amazing view on the St-Germain Castle and gardens.
The room is very quiet.
Numerous boutiques and restaurants are located all around at a very short distance.
The express metro station (RER A) is situated at 50m from the building.
Dominique our host is a charming gentleman who did everything in his power to make our stay comfortable. I really appreciated his flexibility regarding the hours of reception and departures. If you would like to open your window in the morning overlooking a castle... this is the place!
We checked in around 6 pm. We had to travel 30 minutes from Paris to this beautiful suburban area of the city. The area is very interesting with several restaurants and a nice castle in front of the apartment. Dominique welcomed us and gave us directions of places to visit in Paris. The room was clean and we shared the bathroom with the family. We didn't have the time to read the extended list of regulations and Dominique knocked our room door to inform us that the check out time was 9:30 am. We left around 10:00 am. Dominique was a pleasant person to talk to and we thank him for recieving us in his home.
The accommodation is too far away from Paris if you do not have your own transport as the RER finished at 12.30a.m. so you cannot enjoy the city at night. The host was nice and spoke English and offered us refreshements.
It was a pleasantly nice experience staying at Dominique place. The view from the room was great, because we can see the castle directly. Also Dominique was very helpful and kind. He gave many information that I needed to enjoy my first trip in Paris. I just wish that I have more time to spend in this beautiful area, so I can explore more than the castle and the museum.
