This spacious studio has everything you need for an enjoyable, affordable time in NYC! In the heart of Park Slope, you'll be steps aways from some of the greatest areas in Brooklyn and just a short train ride away from the city. Bright and cozy!
This a wonderful, spacious apartment if you're by yourself or traveling with a few others. In addition to my very comfortable bed, I have a large, cozy couch (which I have slept on it many times when I've had family/friends in town...I'm 6' tall and have plenty of room to stretch out!) and 2 air mattresses (1 queen sized, 1 twin sized) available upon request that you are welcome to use as well if you and your friends/family are really looking to save some money on accommodations! All bedding and towels are provided.
Depending on when you arrive, I will either meet you with the keys, arrange for a pick-up or mail a copy to you well in advance.
According to (website hidden) (and me!), Park Slope is a charming neighborhood with tree-lined streets featuring some of the most beautiful brownstones in New York, vast stretches of green space, scores of restaurants and bars, a diverse retail sector, and a population of more artists and creatives than even its reputation for comfortable bohemianism might suggest (more, in fact, than younger, trendier Williamsburg). Incredible Farmer's Markets available on Saturdays and Sundays very close by.
My apartment 2 blocks to the R (email hidden). and 10 blocks (roughly a 6-10 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk) to Barclay's Center/Atlantic Terminal with access to the B/Q/D/N/R/4/5/2/3 trains! Street parking is fairly easy to find!
You'll have full access to this large studio apartment complete with a good sized, fully equipped galley kitchen. Pots, pans, baking ware, crockpot, coffee maker...I have it all for you to use!
Unfortunately, my closets are packed full of my belongings but I'll provide hangers and hooks for you to use if you need to hang any of your belongings!
Interaction with Guests
I only rent out my apartment when I am out of town. If you arrive before I leave, I'd love to meet you! Otherwise, I am available to guests via text, email, or phone call. In the event that you cannot reach me and you need something, I have several friends on "standby" who are nearby and can assist you with whatever you may need.
Park Slope features historic buildings, top-rated restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as proximity to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and the Central Library as well as the Park Slope branch of the Brooklyn Public Library system (a beautiful building!!)
Park Slope is considered one of New York City's most desirable neighborhoods. In 2010, it was ranked number 1 in New York by New York, citing its quality public schools, dining, nightlife, shopping, access to public transit, green space, safety, and creative capital, among other aspects.
It was named one of the "Greatest Neighborhoods in America" by the American Planning Association in 2007, "for its architectural and historical features and its diverse mix of residents and businesses, all of which are supported and preserved by its active and involved citizenry.
2 blocks away from the R (email hidden). and 6-10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) to Atlantic Terminal/Barclay's Center with access to 2,3,4,5,D,N,R,B,Q trains as well as the LIRR.
Other Things to Note
My apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a walk-up building. Ample street parking is available (just be sure to pay attention to street cleaning notices!)
I'm slightly addicted to restoring old furniture pieces and re-designing spaces....so a few a few things have been rearranged since the photos were taken...but it provides an even better, open space! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns or want to see some updated (albeit less professional) photos :).
No pets and no smoking allowed. Guests should be respectful of the other tenants that live in the building and keep their volume to a minimum.
Rebecca's apartment was exactly as described. It was cosy, welcoming on arrival, clean and quiet as it faces the back of the block. The location is fantastic, being in the middle of friendly, vibrant neighbourhood. Right outside the apartment is a street filled with cafes, restaurants and shops. Rebecca made herself available for any questions we had and always replied promptly.
The location was convenient with buses and subway at the end of the street. We absolutely loved Park Slope and have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca's lovely apartment! Thanks Rebecca.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Rebecca's apartment. She has the Air B&B service down to a science. The apartment is very comfortable, sunny and in a great location. She has everything you would need and is very thoughtful of her guests. The location is super too. I'm sure we will be back!
We had a great stay at Rebecca's loft apt. The apartment is exactly as pictured; it is warm, inviting, well organized and homey. It's proximity to shops, restaurants, grocery and the subway was great. Rebecca left us with clear instructions, restaurant recommendations, coffee and other goodies. While staying the hot water heater broke. And though it was not repaired during our stay Rebecca went above and beyond her role as our hostess to do everything humanly possible to fix the situation and make sure we were comfortable. Both Rebecca and Airbnb offered to relocate us. We declined the offer as we we settled, comfortable and happy in Rebecca's loft. We highly recommend staying here and hope to do so ourselves.
We had a lovely stay at Rebecca's cozy studio in Park Slope. Terrific location close to many eateries, cute stores and the subway. She was very helpful in coordinating our visit. The studio was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Rebecca even provided us holiday treats along with a nice selection of coffees. The bed was very comfortable. She was in contact with us and was able to connect with us during our visit. Thanks for a great stay!
Can't say enough good things about this place! Perfect location near cute shops, great restaurants, a short walk from the subway, and lovely brownstones that make you want to move here. Rebecca is a great host who was really easy to communicate with. If you want a place to relax and 'escape' the city...stay here!
The listing was even prettier than I saw in the picture. The decor was stylish and cozy and the bed was comfy and luxurious. Our host had many lovely details that made us feel welcome including breakfast fixings, lots of fluffy towels and even snacks for our time out. The location was near our daughter's apartment and near lots of shops and restaurants. The subway stop at the Barclay Center was a 10 minute walk. Everything went smoothly and our host was very flexible with departure times. This whole experience was wonderful mostly due to our host.
Rebecca's studio was the perfect crash pad for a girls weekend away. There were many restaurants, bars, and shops in the area to enjoy. Her place was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of walking. Thanks again Rebecca!
I am a full-time teacher looking for someone to enjoy my apartment while I travel over the holidays!
Native of the south, I absolutely love living in New York, and more specifically, in Brooklyn! Every day is an adventure here. If you're looking for a quiet place that is away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan but still want all the city has to offer at your fingertips, this is the place for you!
