We stayed in Apartment 717 at the Woodward Building in early April 2014. Great location with easy access to all of the sites. Located only 1 1/2 blocks from White House and from McPherson Square Metro Station. Apartment was perfect size for family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and overall good layout. Check-in and check-out process was very easy - literally took 1 minute. Apartment was clean and had the basic utensils and toiletries in place. This is a Corporate type of rental so while the furnishings were nice - it was a little sterile. There are no basic food goods in the kitchen (such as salt & pepper, sugar, oil, etc) so will need to do some basic shopping right when you arrive. There was one packet of laundry detergent and 1 packet of automatic dishwashing detergent which was helpful. Overall a great home base for our vacation. We had no issues during our stay. The only issue we had was before our arrival when I called the week before our trip. I had called on a Saturday and reached an Answering Service. The person I spoke with was very rude. I brought this up with Kitty at Seemless and she answered my questions right away on the following Monday - so good recovery from poor Customer Service with their answering service.
Great vacation overall!
I had stayed here once before and this time was just as exceptional. I travel to DC for business so I don't really have to much time for last minute (email hidden)ne here, check-in and check-out is simple & quick.
The building staff was friendly and more than willing to assist when I had questions. Location is central, close to parking lot and metro stations. Apartment is clean/well equipped, big living room, and bedrooms each have their private/spacious bathrooms.
Just downstairs is a great restaurant called Woodward Table with quality food and a very nice wine list.
I look forward to booking here again next month when I'm down again.
Working with Seamless Transitions came about after our reservation at another locations was abruptly cancelled, so it was a last minute deal. However, we flew cross-country not knowing if we had a place to stay because we never received check-in instructions and when I called the place the answering service couldn't FIND our reservation.
That said, there is probably no better location in Washington for four tourists who want to hang out together and walk to most points of interest. An added bonus: the Woodward Table restaurant in the same building is excellent--and so is their little gourmet fast food place, WTF, located next door...we're talking duck confit eggs benedict, gorgeous salads, homemade apple pie, oh my....
We had an absolutely glorious time in the Paris of the Western Hemisphere.
Great experience with Seamless Transitions - all communications were via email and phone, prompt and efficient. The apartment location is fantastic! The White House and Renwick Gallery are pretty much around the corner, there are plenty of coffee shops and places to eat in various price ranges, Whole Foods is a 15 min walking distance, subway stations and bus stops within a block away. The building is gorgeous (don't miss out on some relaxing time on the rooftop) and apartment is very clean. The two bedrooms (w queen sized beds)+bathrooms are well isolated from each other, so it is ideal for two people or two couples. A fifth person can crash for a night or two on a living room couch (the extra bedding was provided), but it may not be too comfortable for a longer stay. It was possible to adjust AC individually for each of the bedrooms, which was nice. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks!
This was a great location for the price and great communication. We had a great time and it was very clean and had everything that we needed. Parking was a bit confusing because when it was stated that I would receive a parking pass I was under the impression that it was included in the payment but it was an additional $38 per day. Other than this I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting DC.
Always a pleasure to rent from Seamless. I will definitely be a return user. This location is perfect for Washington DC tour trips. Every attraction in DC is close to the Woodward.
The apartment was excellent; very clean and in great condition. The building and amenities are very good in an excellent location in DC. I highly recommend and hope to stay in the same place again.
We rented a 2/2 in the Woodward building just around the corner from the White House. So, for location it couldn't be beat - it's very close to lots of fantastic restaurants and and lots of ''sight-seeing for tourists'' things are within walking distance. The apartment and the building was amazing - everything was immaculate. My only negative would be that I specifically requested an apartment that had a sofa-bed, but did not hear back from Seamless once I'd made the reservation (prior to booking we were offered a roll-away bed option, but stated that we preferred a sofa-bed). It turned out the apartment did not have a sofa-bed, so one of us had to sleep on the thankfully quite long couch. It's not enough to get in a tizz about and despite this hiccup, I have to say that for location, cleanliness, fit-out etc this is one of the best places I've rented (out of a total of 5) on airbnb.
The reservation was canceled 18 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This was a great unit! We rented a 2/2 in the Woodward building from Seamless Transition. My wife is in the short term business, so I'm pretty critical. Everything was better than expected. The amenities were as advertised. They had little soap/wash kits in the bathrooms. Good sheets and bedding, everything was immaculate. The reservation part was rough at first because they had to check availability and then I thought I was renting a place further away, which would have been fine, but in the end, the unit ended up being this one. The airbnb thing makes it confusing for working with management companies because you inquire on one property and if its booked, they can find you another one, but you have to rent through the airbnb "offer." But, it all worked out fine. Great job Seamless, and thanks for everything.
