  • I only decided to stay in Richard's house a few days before I travelled and he made the arrangements very easy and hassle free by being quick to respond and helpful at all times - booking with him was straightforward and easy. He gave clear instructions too and I was able to let myself in the house that evening and found my room ready. The house is in a lovely residential area and is just a couple of blocks from Commerical St which is the main hub in P.Town. I went a bit off season & was the only visitor at the time which was fine, I totally relaxed and made myself at home! The kitchen and living area of Richard's house are very tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable & Richard's vast collection of architectural magazines and books gave me plenty of reading material! Bathrooms are well equipped with lots of fresh towels & the shower is good. My room was bright and comfortable and had a nice TV and I surprised myself by watching breakfast TV! All in all a nice chilled out trip. I recommend Richard's house and P town in general -the only miss for me was I found P Town very couple oriented - it's a romantic haven for all! I would recommend hiring a bike and do the forest trail - ending up at Herring Cove at sunset - just beautiful!

  • This room was good value, though it was by no means ideal. The location was nice. The room and inn is tackily decorated. We stayed only one night, and we never did see Rick, so we were unable to ask about using the facilities. We would have liked to use the kitchen and the patio. The clanking outside door was a disturbance in this room, so close to the entry. It is not en-suite. The bathroom is down the hall.

    Response from Richard:

Deirdre never contacted me with any questions during her stay
I am always available by phone or text or airbnb message
The kitchen, living, dining room, and roof deck are common space shared with all my guests
I advertise a shared bath so every guest should know there are no en suite baths

  • Rick was a great host. He is on top of his game when it comes to communication. He responds within and hour usually. When we arrived he greeted us with pamphlets and recommendations to make our visit memorable. The house was beautiful, updates were apparent, and bathroom/towels/sheets all very clean. I would stay again.

  • Great time! Sharing the house was easy and fun to meet other travelers

  • Richard managed to squeeze me in for a night at the last minute between other bookings- he was most obliging! The house is a 10 min walk from the main area and was well laid out, nicely furnished, with a super kitchen/ outdoor seating area, and is quiet...

  • My girlfriend and I stayed in the Yellow Queen room in July 2013. We had an excellent experience. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Rick was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He had no problem with us leaving our bags in the house even after check-out time. I would highly recommend staying in this property.

  • Our stay in Provincetown was everything we had hoped for, and more. Check in and check out went smoothly and Rick was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The house itself was extremely clean, well furnished, and had all the necessary amenities. The location was great, Commercial street is just a short walk away. I would definitely stay again, I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Provincetown!

  • If you are looking a place to stay in P-town - this is it! We stayed for 2 nights at Richard's and we had a great time! First, he works during most of the day and you will have your privacy if this is what you are looking for. Second, the rooms are really nice, clean and cozy, so is the kitchen and the common area. Not to mention that this IS the best deal you can find in town. Just 10 minutes away from the craziest crowd, yet secluded and private. We loved it!

  • The process was seamless, and the stay was without a single issue. Richards house is just beautiful, and well kept. He is very professional and knows how to make guest comfortable and pleased. Great location, as said, and was within a walking radius to the Commercial Strip. The house and Richard were sharp and homely. The stay could have lasted much longer with how pleased I was. Communication was a breeze, and Richard was respectful and proper when it came to amenities, questions, and general rules to the house. Although my partner and I did not cook or have dinner in the house, we spent time on the decks and just enjoyed the sunsets and the wonderful wind. I highly recommend sharing your experience here, as you will walk away feeling pretty satisfied.

    Thanks Richard!

Thank you Brennan so much for the kind and thoughtful review
It was a pleasure hosting you and your partner
I would be very happy to host you again anytime
I wish all my guests were like you

  • Richards house was beautiful and the location is great. Everything is decorated so lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed. Unfortunately we could not use the Terrace due to cold and breezy weather. Provincetown was quiet begin of may but we had a nice day :-) Richard is a very nice host.
