Tranquil environment surrounded by nature habitat in a tea plantation estate situate in an agricultural village. You’ll find the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, rejuvenate, and relax. Children will love the environment as they will learn a lot from the nature around.
Your neighbors will be the jungle and the birds that surround you! You will be woken up by the singing birds or to peacock screams. The facility is powered by sustainable energy Hydroelectric.

The space
The cottage is 2 ½ hour drive by car from the Galle city center. From the Katunayake airport it may take almost under 5 hours depending on the time of the day. After passing the Colombo city limits the drive is charmingly picturesque. Airport taxis are freely available at arrival. Free Parking available on site. Driver accommodation if required can be arranged with prior arrangement at an nominal extra cost of $8 per night.
Extra Meals:

One queen size and 3 flat beds will provide 5 guests to comfortable siesta space. Spacious sitting area with the garden with Mountain View in background and a separate dining area. Shower is fitted with solar hot water system. The kitchen area is typically a late 19th century fit out. Though we provide a Gas cooker hob and modern kitchen utensils, the local cooks around here are happier to use fire wood cooking in clay pots coconut shell spoons.
Extra Meals: You may bring along the food provisions and a local cook shall be at your service at a very nominal extra charge at $10/full day both ((lunch & Dinner) the other meals.

Your neighbors will be the jungle and tea plantations that surround you! Your seclusion and privacy and comfortable secure night is absolutely guaranteed. You will be woken up by the singing birds or peacock screams. The climate is mostly wet but sunny with daytime temperatures hovering around 27 Deg. C.
Day Tours for the Guests who stay more than 2 days could be arranged at an extra cost, a tea factory visit to “Dalu Tea Centre” where you can taste aromatic tea and learn all about what goes into your morning cup of tea. Then to a beautiful waterfall “Hat Mala” meaning 7 necklaces.
A full day visit to the Signharaja Rainforest.

During your stay
I will be there to welcome you on arrival and guide you around throughout your stay with us. Upon arrival you will be a guest but you will soon be a part of the family.
Visit the hydroelectric power plant that generates electricity from the beautiful stream that flow through the estate.
A guided tour to learn all about the eco-friendly, sustainable efforts of the estate.
You can trek through the plantation, relax in a cool river bath, and sip on some pure king coconut water straight from the tree. You can even learn to pluck tea from the local tea puckers, and even learn to cook some local specialties from our friendly, yet somewhat shy, cook!
You all could enjoy a river bath in a natural pool fitted with fountains near the Hydro Power plant.
Visit the spices garden and tasting the raw spices like cinnamon, pepper, cardamoms, cloves etc.
In the right season, you can even taste KITHUL palm toddy, a sugary golden syrup popular among locals.
