This newly renovated eco-luxe villa is located in Nyuh Kuning, Ubud's best village! Great for couples, families, and solo travellers, the villa has 2 bedrooms, and space for 4. Nestled on a quiet street, the property is a five-minute walk to Ubud's famous monkey forest, and from there, a ten-minute walk into central Ubud.
The villa is set in it's own private small compound, with a private pool, multiple outdoor sitting areas, and relaxing hammock. The master bedroom has AC, a large cupboard, a safe, and it's own bathroom. The second bedroom has AC, a desk, and a large dresser. The kitchen is fully kitted-out, and includes a large fridge, a sink, and toaster oven, etc. There's also a second bathroom with a shower and a washing machine.
The rental also includes a daily house cleaning service each morning.
There's a few built-in perks if you stay with us: we include a local mobile phone, to help make your stay go smoothly. Our television also has a hard drive full of great movies (over 100+) should you want to spend the night at home.
Interaction with Guests
During your stay with us, we're happy to suggest things to do, places to see, and interesting people to meet. Some of our favourite things in Ubud are yoga classes, mountain biking, and visits to some of Bali's incredible temples. We can also connect you a local driver, or help rent a scooter. We'll even hook you up with a baby-sitter if you want a night off from your kids!
We're an active Canadian family of 5 - three boys, the oldest age 15, and twins age 10. Four years ago we relocated to Bali, and have been enjoying the change of pace and fresh air ever since. We love Bali, and love meeting new people. Come stay with us!
Nyuh Kuning, our village, is clean, quiet, and friendly. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the action, but a bit hidden away.
There are several restaurants and small shops located in the village which serve both western and Indonesian food. Nearby is the monkey forest, and just north of the monkey forest (about a ten minute walk) is Monkey Forest Road, Ubud's most popular street for shopping, eating, and people watching.
The yoga barn, Ubud's top spot for yoga, is a ten minute walk away.
The easiest way to get around is by foot, but bike and scooter, and of course private car/taxi, are good options too!
Other Things to Note
If you are interested in yoga, one of the villa owners, Janet, is available to give private yoga sessions at the villa, or in her yoga room down the road.
Janet currently teaches retreats, teacher training and privates in Bali, and would be happy to offer you a one hour session for 600,000 rupiah. If you're interested, please speak with Yoni to book a session.
Our fridge does not contain a freezer. If you would like ice, please let us know and we can deliver you some in a cooler on a daily basis
Please respect the space!
What a great little spot! In a peaceful location which is an easy 10-15 min walk into Ubud. The staff are friendly and kind. The house itself is comfortable and homely with everything you need. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again :)
Our experience was great. We had traveled from Kuta to Ubud to stay and the villa was great for us. Very short walk to the monkey forest. Some restaurants close by. If you are not walking thru the monkey forest to get to the city center it is a bit of a walk. There were some visitors small geckos but thats pretty normal in Bali. Yoni was a great host.
This villa was adorable, even better than the photos and we loved staying here! The beds were very cozy and the pool was great. The villa had everything we needed. Yoni and her husband were very helpful and kind hosts. The location is a little tricky if you don't have a motorbike so be prepared for lots of walking or expensive taxi's. We thought we could pay once and keep going through Monkey Forest during the day but the lady at the gate stopped us on our second day and actually ripped my ticket and said you must buy a new one every day. So several times we made the walk on the busy motorbike path around the Monkey Forest. Overall though great experience and beautiful place to stay!
We absolutely loved our stay here. As soon as we stepped into this villa we could tell it was going to be a great space for us. The facilities were great, we used the pool everyday and the house was nice and clean.
Yoni and Peter were wonderful - they were both really helpful whenever we needed anything and just genuinely friendly.
We were really glad we stayed in this part of Ubud. It was quiet enough for us (we had a toddler with us) but still only a short walk past the monkeys to the main part of Ubud.
We would certainly come back and stay next time we are in Ubud!
We liked, scratch that. We LOVED:
- Flawless communications from the minute we made the reservation from the moment we left the villa.
- Absolute privacy of the villa.
- What we saw in the pictures was exactly what we got!
- Supreme hospitality provided by Yoni (villa manager) and her husband Konming, who was also the best driver in Ubud.
Awesome location! Really, it so close to town, but not in town.
The Villa is lovely, perfect size for a family. In the photos it's looks small, it's not it was much bigger than I expected. Pool is lovely and setting is very nice. We would defiantly stay here again next trip to Ubud.
Merci encore!

We're a family of 5 from Canada living in Indonesia. This is our fourth year abroad and we don't know if we will ever leave! In 2011, we bought and renovated our dream house, in Nyuh Kuning, a neighourhood just south of the Monkey Forest in Ubud, where we now live.
Our three children (a teenager and twin tweens) attend the famous 'Green School' here in Bali, about 25 minutes away. Janet runs a magazine called Inspired Bali, as well as teaching various yoga retreats throughout the year. Peter is a former journalist turned entrepreneur, and is the cofounder of a coworking space in Ubud called Hubud. Come stay with us!
