My wife and I really enjoyed our time staying at Yoni's villa. Yoni was very helpful and easy to get ahold of with the provided cell phone. She made sure that everything was going well for us during the stay. The villa itself was beautiful. It was nicely decorated and the bed in the master bedroom was especially nice. The only issue we had was the amount of bugs and critters that came into the house. Quite a few lizards, frogs and grasshoppers found there way into the house.

This place is very secluded from the main central area of Ubud. Please be aware! I wished someone would have written this before. We were traveling with a one year old and were not comfortable renting a scooter to get around with her. Unless you have your own transportation, do not book this place. The neighborhood is very small and cozy but we wanted to be able to explore more of the central area restaurants and sites after 5:00, which was not feasible. There are ants everywhere as well - by the pool, in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Also note that both bathrooms are NOT enclosed and are outdoors! I would not recommend for a family with small children. The host, Yoni was also very neglectful in arranging our transport to this place - I would not count on her for anything.

Response from Yoni:
Thanks for the feedback Kathy. We appreciate that you took the time to share your experience with us. Many of our hundred of guests over the past 4 years feel our location is ideal-close to the action while not right in the center of it. Also one of the charms of Bali is the outdoor shower and bathroom-from our photos its CLEAR the bathroom are outside. And of course , we'll make sure our already very high cleanliness standards are kept up. The other thing is you should also notice if our villa has the bamboo fence that can rolled and open so when guests have baby or toddler it can keep them safe inside to crawling around and play whitout worrying they will run outside to the yard and pool. I wish you also see that on our photos.

We had a lovely time in the villa, it was exactly as described. We had already stayed in a number of different places in Ubud and this was the best location. Using the road by Monkey Forest it is a 5-10 minute walk to the center. This walkway is also open at night and we felt safe using this (with torches). It is obvious that the villa had previously been a family home and was decorated to taste, but this only made us feel more at ease. The veranda was a lovely place to relax whether avoiding the sun or at the end of a long day. Yoni was a great help and made herself available to answer any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend the villa, whether it be for a couple, friends or family.

This place is exactly like the pictures! Spacious and nice. Easy to find and we had a phone where we were able to connect with drivers to get us around for great prices. We enjoyed our stay here that we asked to stay one more night! Thank you for the hospitality :)

Quaint little cottage tucked away in a beautiful village. People are super friendly like everywhere else in Bali. Not for you if you like to stay in the "middle of all the action". Ubud town is just a short walk away around and across the monkey forest. Using the path at night is not possible due to lack of light. You can always hitch a ride on the many scooters passing that way(less than 2 minutes) to cross the forest. We did the Tanah lot temple, artisians village( silver, wood) and Bali zoo with Ubud as out base. Key is to get a good driver/ guide. Hire his services for a day and it is well worth the 400k rupiah odd you will be charged.

Just finished a week stay at this awesome villa near the Sacred Monkey Forest. Communication with the house manager Yoni was easy and she was quick to respond to any questions, along with help us arrange taxi's and boat transportation. Highly recommend this house for the fact that it comes with a phone to get ahold of Yoni if you need anything. Just a 3 minute walk into the Monkey Forest, we were able to be the first ones there at open and explore without the crowds which is the only way to best experience it. On the other side of the forest in Ubud Center which is about a 15-20 minute walk, but with hundreds of restaurants and shops in between. The pool was great, the area felt very safe and quite, and the beds with air conditioning in the room were a big plus. The TV has lots of movies stored on the hard drive which we enjoyed at night, and the kitchen well equipped to cook a meal or make coffee/tea. There were three of us here on our stay but could comfortable accommodate a family. Definitely recommend this home to a group traveling to Ubud but that would like to stay out of the immediate town center.

Yoni's place was perfect beyond words! Nyoman, the housekeeper, was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived, so getting settled was easy. Yoni provides a cell phone so you can call her if you run into any issues or have any questions! The place is about a 15 minute walk from the chaos of downtown Ubud, which was great for us. You feel like you're part of a quiet village instead of in a touristy shopping area. Besides, most of the best restaurants are on this side of Monkey Forest (check out Ibu Bakery for breakfast and Trattoria, Sage, and Kagemusha for lunch/dinner) :) We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!!!!
