Interaction with Guests
We look forward to meeting you. I am around within shop opening times or my husband Niall or Kelly who works for me. If you need to ask any questions or recommendations on the best pub music food !!. I have put a list of my favorite things to do in Dingle Town
Dingle is a great little town and our flat is right in the middle of it. Around 1 min walk to the famous Dick Macs pub, lots of great top class restaurants close by, a very nice bakery around the corner + few take aways down the road.
Dingle Town has some great shopping. Our own shop is rather good ! The flat is above the shop. Look up kathleen mcauliffe online. Discount of 10% for Airbnb guests.
Dingle has a pier an aquarium a climbing wall plus Fugie the world famous friendly dolphin which you can get a boat to see or go swimming with
a magic experience you will never forget!!
The landscape around dingle is fantastic. National geographic said it was one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is a great place to come for clean healthily fun walking windsurfing surfing horse riding all nearby. Slea head drive you will see ancient beehive huts and ruins of castles to explore.
A great flat in friendly beautiful location céad míle fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes)
Walk round town
Car, Bus, Bike Boat for getting out of town
Other Things to Note
If your going to get to us after our shop closes between 5.30 to 6pm. We can leave the key hidden so you can let yourself in.
The main heating is storage heater which needs 12 hours to get warm. If we think it cold we will of course put it on before you stay. There is also two portable electric heaters which are handy if the weather is changeable. which it is most of the time!.
The flat is above our shop so we would ask to be reasonably quite in the opening times. We not talking whispering here. Normal living is fine
but if you need to practice Irish dancing, or play loud music maybe not the place for you.
No smoking, Go to the pub up the road !
Kathleen's place in Dingle was great. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, and she was very easy to communicate with for the duration of our stay. The location of the apartment was fantastic - everything is within 5 minutes walk of the front door, with coffee shops and pubs literally next door.
The apartment was very well located, it was very nice and cosy. There was a lot of attention to all of the small details desing wise. Kathleen had organized a great notebook full of useful advices on where to go and taxi service.
We also met Kathleen, she was very sweet and it was a real pleasure to meet her. We loved Dingle and we sure hope to come again and stay there again
This apartment is adorable and the location couldn't be better. Unfortunately, I was unable to meet Katleen because of our late arrival, but her sunny personality shone through the beautiful colors of the apartment and her lovely store downstairs. Our stay in Dingle was comfortable and re-energizing. We will try to book again when we return.
This is a great place to stay in Dingle. I spent 4 nights here in the centre of town with everything you could want within walking distance, and then when I got tired of exploring it was fascinating just to sit at the window and people watch. (I believe I now might pop up in many random photos, as the building is very pretty and a popular photo op for tourists!)
I didn't meet the host, but did meet Kelly who works in the shop. The reception was very welcoming, especially as I ended up arriving much earlier than I had stated. Nothing was too much trouble for her though.
The flat is comfortable and cosy. It is up 2 flights of stairs, which was no trouble for me. There is plenty of hot water, a washer and dryer and very reliable wifi access all of which makes for a happy traveller! The kitchen is small, but equipped with all you need to self cater and having tea, coffee and milk ready and waiting is always great.
This was a great place to stay - comfortable and cosy, with great access to all the sights and hiking trails of the Dingle peninsula. The location is perfect! You can beat the tourist hordes in the morning and see the town for what is really is, or quickly escape out into the peninsula before the tourist buses arrive.
It is also over the host's shop which has lovely items for sale - I personally couldn't resist some soap and a gorgeous scarf. (Plus you receive a discount for any items bought!)
I would definitely recommend staying here if you are ever fortunate enough to stay in this part of the world. A very relaxing and hassle free experience all round!
Flat was perfect for us for a wonderful weekend in dingle. Would definitely stay again and totally recommend.
We loved our stay in Dingle. The apartment was cozy and located in the best place possible. We couldn't have asked for more!
We had a great experience staying at Kathkeen's. It was so cozy and inviting. The location was perfect. It was more than we expected. It was our first time staying in an airbnb and we will definitely do it again.
I didn't get a chance to meet Kathleen but she was very responsive via email.
