The master bedroom has a comfortable bed, large wardrobe, plenty of storage and a big comfortable armchair.
This is a beautiful split-level apartment in a very old period building on Sherborne's historic main street. Sleeps 5 guests with the option of a folding bed to accommodate one more.
Entry to the apartment is on the first floor of this Grade II listed building and opens out onto a bright and spacious hall/study area with desk and reading lamp. Off of this you have a door to the enclosed roof terrace at the rear of the property. Here there is a bench and dining table and chairs so that you can sit outside to read, relax and dine.
Also on the first floor of the apartment is the living room with a traditional fireplace, television with Freeview and DVD player, sofa and armchairs. A library of books (local interest, fiction and non-fiction), DVDs, puzzles and games are provided for your use.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need or expect in a self-catering rental and guests frequently congratulate us on how well-equipped we keep all of our properties. Everything from pots, pans, cutlery and crockery down to tea, coffee, sugar and cereal! There is a washer/dryer, oven, hobs, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and more. The dining area has seating for up to 6 people.
Upstairs there is a bathroom (shower, no bath) and the two bedrooms. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, built in wardrobe, plenty of drawers, a selection of reading material and a large comfortable armchair to read them in! There is plenty of space for the folding bed or travel cot to be set up in this room when necessary.
The twin bedroom has two single beds and a day bed. This looks out over the rooftops of Sherborne towards the famous Abbey. Both of the bedrooms are exceptionally quiet thanks to the double glazing and their position two floors above the main street.
The apartment is heated via gas fired central heating to radiators (included) and has free WiFi throughout. Should you require a telephone for the duration of this stay we can also provide one but ask that you use it only for free local calls and use a phone card for all others. In the warmer a months fans can be provided should you need them.
LARGE GROUPS: If you are a group larger than 6 then we have several other properties within a 2-5 minute walk from this one which can be rented together at a reduced rate.
This apartment is cozy and very clean and right in the centre. Perfect location for us as we were attending a wedding in the abbey. Jenny had left us a bottle of wine and bread and butter which was much appreciated.
This was a pretty, clean and comfortable flat all as shown on the listing except there is now a bath (with shower over) instead of the shower. A characterful flat in the centre of a lovely town. Jenny was very helpful and arranged everything really well.
We have just spend a lovely few days in the historic town of sherborne where you will find this lovely apartment. We found it spotless and with a little welcome pack of milk, local bread and butter and a very nice vase of flowers. The apartment is much bigger than its looks with 2 spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage, a lovely kitchen which was well equipped and a lounge. The hallway has plenty of space to store stuff too - we had 5 bikes ! but good for prams i would imagine too. The host was very helpful before our stay - it was all very lovely
We stayed here with a 10 month old baby and found the master bedroom closet was perfect to fit a pack and play (cot). One should watch out for the low hanging beams that come down from the ceiling; we hit our head on them a couple of times. There is a very spacious entry area, though it isn't really utilized.
The flat is very well equipped and it was so nice of them to include some staples like milk and butter. Location is excellent and Sherborne area was a wonderful place to visit. Emma was extremely helpful and looked after everything.
Really enjoyed the apartment at Sherborne. The apartment was large, spacious, clean, the kitchen was well equipped including spices, oil, coffee and sugar. The location was excellent for a walk in the area. The town itself is charming. The only downside that the services tight into the shower apartment for six people a little difficult.
Emma was the perfect host and made the booking process so easy. The appartment was charming and decorated to a very high standard. It is perfectly located to enjoy the beautiful village. Because you are right next to the Abbey and on the high street it is advisable to take ear plugs when the windows are open! I'd highly recommend a stay at this lovely apartment.
I had a wonderful time at the apartment which was very spacious for such a central location and well supplied. We were left breakfast goods and a bottle of wine which was very welcome after our long drive. Cosy with lovely original features but a modern kitchen and bathroom made for a truly great stay and Emma was a wonderful host, providing ample info prior to arrival - highly recommended and I would definitely return!
