A real home away from home. This was our first Airbnb experience, and to say we were nervous is an understatement. It was a quick family weekend trip with two children (8 years and 6 months). We were welcomed and made right at home! There was even a pack n play and changing table set up for our daughter. The breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were very knowledgeable. We had a great time sitting out on their beautiful back porch chatting after a long day at the beach. Borrowing their chairs, umbrella, cooler, and beach gear was an added plus that we loved! I cannot praise this experience enough, and I would highly recommend Billy and Carol (and Gifford) to anyone!
Trying to trump what others have said about Billy and Carol is a daunting task because everything that has been stated by other clients is completely accurate and future clients will not be disappointed. What I can say is the highlights of our week was breakfast each morning by Billy and a warm welcome by Carol, Mooney, and Gifford! Having a warm family to come home to every evening after long days on the ball fields was exactly what my daughter needed. Being in a safe, quiet, and relaxing place allowed us to have the much needed rest to keep going. The late night talks with Billy helped me to unwind and feel as if I had someone away from home to care and listen! Thanks Billy.
I am not sure I can put into words just exactly how wonderful our stay with Carol and Billy was, but I will try! This was our first Airbnb experience, so my son and I weren't sure what to expect. From the second we arrived, Carol made us feel right at home. She and Billy treated us as if we were family. They were available for conversation and information, but also gave us our privacy when needed. They made sure we had everything we needed, and they truly wanted us to have the best vacation experience we could! You can tell they not only love people, but also love hosting folks in their home. They were incredibly sweet to my eight year old son, Evan. (He has already made me promise to take him back to see them (and Gifford(the dog) + Moonie(the kitty) next year on vacation!)
Just as an example, Billy and Carol had umbrellas, chairs, toys etc available for our excursions to the beach. Before Evan and I left for the beach, Carol noticed her beach umbrella was slightly broken, so she went out and bought a new one!
Billy and carol are just super sweet folks. They are great with kids, and I suggest you talk Billy into making his special pancakes! I highly recommend you stay with them if you ever visit Panama City Beach. You will not regret it. (You will also not regret sleeping in that big, comfy bed!)
I would give them 20 stars if I could.
We enjoyed the stay. We were able to wash clothes an towels. It was a real joy.
Home away from Home!! Billy and Carol were very gracious hosts and made sure our stay at PCB was memorable. Kids loved their dog Gifford and Billy's breakfast especially his vanilla pancakes. Will plan on another trip and definitely recommend to my friends.
Very nice hosts. They made us feel like home. Our kids felt that they are staying with grandparents. The kids especially loved the cute dog, Gifford. We'll definitely stay with them again when going to PCB.
Such a lovely experience we had with billy and carol. They were so welcoming when we arrived late at night. Everything was clean and super nice , just as pictured. We woke up to breakfast every morning and good conversation. We had dinner together one night and enjoyed each others company! It felt just like home. We enjoyed their animals, especially Gifford who decided to decided to cuddle with my friend one night. Carol also took great great pictures of us on the lake that will soon be framed. Hope to come visit one day! To carol and billy we made it to miami :)

About the Host, Carol
My husband and I enjoy opening our home to other people. We have participated in many years of exchange students and Rotary exchange programs from around the world. We have been involved in non-profit work most of our 33 years of marriage. Our grown children living in urban areas on the other end of the continent, have always brought their friends to our door as they grew up. So we continue to open our home to others. I enjoy photography and working with young families. My husband, Billy, enjoys fishing and good conversations. We are casual and very laid back when it comes to having guests in our home.
