Located in the very heart of Rome, right in Campo dei Fiori Square, the famous historical bustling fruit and flower market, this beautifully refurbished apartment has a relaxed and even romantic atmosphere. The apartment is very quiet, as its windows face an inner courtyard. There's a mix of tasteful modern and antique furniture with an authentic fireplace in the living room
This is not a private apartment but it is run by a foreign agency. In fact you check in at an office far from the apartment itself, which was a surprise. When we arrived the agency told us that the heating was broken and the we had to change apartment. We had to stay in an horrible place close to Pzza Vittorio. They promised us we would change to the Colosseum apartment the morning after and that they would clean it first thing in the morning. We got there at 10:30 and the apartment was still a complete mess! They cleaned it only in the afternoon. They forgot to give us the second key and the wi fi box, so we had to call them several times during the day to make sure everything was in place and clean as they promised. We were disappointed at the way they manage the businness. Tha apartment is very simple but the location is wonderful
Not so bed...
Apartment was spacious, clean and located close to metro/supermarket/Colloseum. Dishwasher wasn't working but I wasn't made aware of this before checking in. On a broader note, I found the hospitality level that I would associate with most airbnb offerings missing - it was "matter of fact" and "this is what you get"approach. Moreover, I was asked to leave a 200 euro cash deposit (or my credit card details) which was waived only when I showed the airbnb email (fortunately I had a roaming 3G data connection on my phone) which said this deposit was already applied on my card.
Enjoyable stay. Appt clean and well situated although first impressions of area were doubtful.
Difficult to find as numbering system for street is very erratic. Need to be given more explicit directions.
Well positioned for Vatican City and short walk to buses and Old City area.
Average/ok. Shower was poor (water flow was insufficient and slow, temperature of water changed rapidly from freezing cold to too warm). Air conditioning was not producing enough cold air to lower room temperature. Table and chairs were low quality material and floor was cleaned poorly (a lot of sand). Overall disappointment but location was good and nearby many good restaurants. This is a sleeping place but nothing more, you won't find you enjoying your stay inside.
5 of us stayed at this apt during our stay in Rome. It was pretty spacious and convenient to many sightseeing spots. The bathroom is a bit small but overall it was fine.
This apartment was fantastic. A perfect location and size for a getaway for up to 4 people. It was clean, well-appointed, charming and neat. Also, it's near many attractions and close to public transportation.
We would definitely stay there again.
Location is great. Apartment is very plain - everything is white with no real decorations. The apartment is managed by a company with many different apartments throughout the city. The balcony is off the second bedroom and is very small... picture is very deceiving. You have to go to an office location near the Termini train station to retrieve the keys... this makes it difficult when you are traveling with a family/group. We reserved internet and baby crib and they were confirmed. When we got there neither were available the first day and were only delivered to us the second day. As I had to check emails for work the first day this was extremely problematic. Train station is a short two minute walk. You can catch the train to metro - one stop... which is good. You can also catch the bus at the train station that takes you right through the middle of town. Many restaurants nearby and a mini Tesco for shopping. Vatican is within walking distance.
the place where you collect your keys and the actual apartment is NOT that near as informed by airbnb. it is far. yes very far considering you will be arriving with your luggage. and besides, they did not mention specifically which floor was their office so we were quite lost when we arrived to their office (43 Firenze) until we called them. would be easier if they have informed us earlier. not that near from termini station to be honest. the area of the apartment was really dodge and scary at night. not so safe. there were beggars at the side of the roads near the apartment. the place is big though. however, it was really noisy because we could hear clearly the busses/cars outside as it is located exactly next to the main road.
