Situated in the pictoresque part of Copenhagen, Christianshavn has it all. From the world's best restaurant Noma, to famous hippie settlement Christiania.
It is 2 minutes from a metro station and 8 minutes from the city square by foot.
This spacious duplex has 2 balconies, 3 kingsize beds and still room for socializing. The place is equiped danish design classic chairs.
This part of the city, Christianshavn, looks very much like the architecture of Amsterdam. Low colourful houses along the canals. Christian IV founded this part of town with the help from Architects from The Netherlands that were experts of bulding at the waterside. Nowadays the canals are paved with cafés and restaurants where you can sit while boats are drifting by.
Take an hour on one of the tour-boats that are passing the house with an only ten minutes interval in summertime. It is a great way to get a full overview of the city´s geography.
At Bryggen (7minutes away) the whole city gathers to sun bath and swim in the summertime. Yes, you can actually swim within the city. -just on the other side from the National Library, The Black Diamond. -another architectural gem of the City.
Bryggen is only 7 minutes away.
The foundation of the city that used to protect the city from the Swedish attacks is just behind the appartment and has now turned green. It is a little green treasure that a lot of people don´t know about. You can walk all around it for a longer stroll where you pass Christiania on the way. Of cause you can take shortcut but for the avid walkers it takes 90 minutes. Nature within the city!
As you can tell Christianshavn is a small village in the big City of Copenhagen and is a very popular place for Copenhageners to live.
See if you can get your hands on this guidebook:
There are 2 double beds and one double futon.
Just treat it like it´s your own home. ;-)
Christians apartment was very nice and spacious. Great location and lovely views! Our communication regarding amenities was unclear which made our stay less pleasent and Christian was out of the country so our issues went unresolved for the length of our stay.
We had a fantastic stay. Christian and Adam were wonderful - great to communicate with, at the end of the line if we needed them. Really relaxed and helpful.
The flat is stunning! We walked in and were greeted by beautiful space, two large balconies and our three great double rooms.
Thanks to the comfort and atmosphere of the place, our short work trip was made far better than we could have imagined. So great to sit on the balcony and have a view of the canal when unwinding. Everything we needed was close by. The metro was a few minutes walk, plus great spots like Europa, Ved Stranden 10 (a must-visit) and other food/drink places within close reach for those who like that sort of thing. We didn't tour much, as we were working long days, so the location was perfectly central with having limited time to get around.
I really cannot recommend this beautiful apartment enough - not least because of the friendly Bonke cousins making it all so much easier. Thank you guys.
My family of five had a really great holiday for a week in Copenhagen in Christian's apartment. Great location fifteeen minutes walk from Tivoli. On the sixth floor with a good lift. Great local shopping area and hub just 200m away in the centre of Christianhaven. Lovely, large, unpretentious apartment, with lots of windows and two balconies overlooking the canal. We generally walked everywhere - we only took the metro (200m away) when we were feeling very lazy. Too near town to bother with hiring bicycles (at least for us).
Christian and Adam were very helpful when we needed help.
For enthusiastic clothes washers (which we are), there is a great shared clothes washing facility on the ground floor (I had a lovely time away from the madding crowd reading my book down here).
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
A great apartment with a fantastic view in a lovely neighbourhood. The photos give a very clear sense of what its like and we found it comfy, stylish and homely. Its also a great location with easy access to the rest of Copenhagen and the airport via the Metro which is a very short walk. (The bakery opposite the Metro is also fantastic!) Christian made the whole process really easy and responded quickly to any queries we had. Its also pretty easy to walk to lots of places within 20 minutes too. We'd recommend it to anyone and would love to stay again if we're lucky enough to be back in Copenhagen.
The apartment is great.
Great location: 2 minutes from the Christianshavn metro station - that will take you to the airport in 15 minutes and a 5 minute bike ride to Strøget.
You get awesome views over the canal and we had spare space being 4 people.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it anyone visiting Copenhagen and I would surely stay again!
Christian's apartment is simply stunning! Beautiful canal views from nearly every window in the apartment, 2 balconies and lots of space. The metro takes you from the closest stop to the apartment straight to the airport in half an hour - brilliant! We initially thought that we would have to use the metro to get into the city centre, but it's only a 15 minute walk or so and a taxi cost us about 70 Krone, but there's really no need as the metro runs all night. The apartment is also very close to Christiania, which is worth a look. We had a great time - I can really recommend this place.
Christian was an excellent host and gave us plenty of tips to enjoy the city. His apartment was so cosy that it felt like a home away from home. This was important as the weather during my visit was extremely gray and cold. It was nice have a warm place to take shelter.
I am a Danish film maker who does a lot of traveling.
I love to find small undiscovered treasures when I travel. Something that aren´t in the guidebooks. That´ll be something cultural, historical or architectural. Film is a great passion of course, but music even more so. I always try to track down the best of the local music.
But I love nature as much as I love the big cities. So my destinations tend to vary...
I jog, sail, swim and play tennis when I can.
I am social and easygoing and think that I treat my surroundings with respect. -that goes for your appartment as well. ;-)
