Mill Valley has a mild Mediterranean climate with abundant greenery everywhere. Mill Valley is a city in Marin County, California, United States, located about 12 miles (20 km) north of San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge and 50 miles from Napa Valley.

Mill Valley is located on the shores of Richardson Bay, and the slopes of Mount Tamalpais. Both areas offer fantastic hiking trails and sporting opportunities -year round. Beyond the flat coastal area and marshlands, it occupies narrow wooded canyons, mostly of very tall redwood trees and typical vegetation unique to Northern California. The Muir Woods National Monument is also located just outside the city limits. Mill Valley is a laid-back town filled with great hiking trails and many eateries and bars nearby. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge to discover San Francisco, a short drive away.
