Interaction with Guests
I'm happy to show guests the immediate neighbourhood, and do my best to answer any questions they may have. I'm normally a phone call away if there are any queries.
Neuhausen is one of Munich's most popular residential areas. There are several parks close by and there are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The wonderful Nymphenburg castle is less than 15 minutes from my apartment with public transport. An all-year round open-air swimming pool is just one subway stop and a
short walk away.
The nearest Subway station is just 4-5 minutes away. From there it's only only 3 stops to the city centre. The Donnersbergerbrücke suburban train station can be reached with a local bus in 5 minutes or on foot in 10. It takes around 45 minutes to the airport and around 30 minutes to the exhibition centre at Riem.
No smoking, pets or all-night partying ;-)
Please treat my apartment as if it were your own.
Lost keys will be expensive to replace.
Cleaning fee of €30 may be applicable if the apartment is not in the same condition on departure as on arrival.
Very nice place, very nice host, great time in Munchen. The flat is very convenient and charming, especially the balcony for sitting and have a drink on summer nights. Bravo !

John is so nice to give us lots of information. The apartment is well-equipped and convenient with good location.
John met us upon arrival and showed us around the apartment and provided us with all necessary information. He also had a map with our location marked and provided suggestions for things to do and places to go. He made us feel very welcome. The apartment was very comfortable and was well-supplied. The location was (email hidden)s and grocery stores nearby and less than 5 minutes to the underground. I highly recommend this listing!
I stayed at John's place with my husband and my in-laws. The location of this apartment was perfect for what we did and really convenient - it was very, very close to a subway station, so we had an easy time getting around. And the neighborhood was very, very safe, which was nice. John was also extremely kind and helpful, meeting us at the house fairly early in the morning and showing us everything.
The house, however, did not really suit our needs. The listing advertises one bedroom and two beds, which sleeps four, but it was kind of a stretch. The "pull out double sofa bed" is actually a sofa with a small trundle pulled up, which is not even with the sofa - my husband kind of slept downhill, and if I had been taller than 5'0", it would have been REALLY difficult.
Even though we said there would be four guests and paid extra for the fourth person, only three towels were provided. My husband had to use two hand towels to dry off after he showered.
The place was also very cluttered, much more so than the pictures, and the wifi was basically useless. We had a terrible signal the entire time, which is bad since several of us did not have cell service in Germany, and were dependent on wifi to communicate.
Again, John was extremely kind and helpful, and the place was very conveniently located in a nice neighborhood near a subway station for easy transport. The sleeping arrangements just didn't suit our needs well at all, so that's something to keep in mind if you're looking to stay here.
Hello Emily, I'm glad you and your family liked the location and neighbourhood.
I'm really sorry that you didn't find the sofa-bed so comfortable. My listing does mention that it is a pull-out sofa-bed, and the bed part is certainly an integral part. There have been two 6' guys sleeping on it before with no complaints, maybe you didn't put the cushions to one side?
There were at least six towels, but as you say maybe only three bath towels. There are normally four bath and four matching hand towels, I'm sorry if the other bath towel was in the wash basket. If you had contacted me during your stay I would have gladly had another towel brought over.
The apartment is where I live most of the time, so it's always going to have a lived-in feeling. I take your point though and will try to de-clutter and put more stuff away in cupboards or the cellar.
The wifi has been a little unreliable and I'm using a new internet provider from mid-July. However, even as it is I do use it a lot every day, and I've been able to cope with live streaming from the BBC etc to watch sport etc.
I hope the niggles didn't spoil your stay in Munich too much.
Altogether a really good experience. Appartement was ready exactly has agreed and contained everything needed. I already knew that the location was great with UBahn, Tram and bus nearby so no surprised there. John was nice and welcoming. Did not get the chance to spend much time with him this time but will maybe have an other occasion in the future. I definitely recommend it.
Stayed in this apartment early February with 2 friends. John's very gregarious friend Jol was kind enough to help us check in. This apartment was quite big and comfortable during the very cold weather (-11c!), with a small balcony/courtyard. As John's actual apartment, the interior looked very much lived-in, and is filled with all the facilities we needed during our stay (the washing machine was very helpful). The wifi was very fast as well. The U-bahn station (Rotkreuzplatz) was just a 5 minute walk away, and the main train station (Hbf) was only 40 minutes walking (if you really wanted to). An enjoyable stay overall.
Location is good. The house is clean, also John is very nice
