HAVE YOU EVER SAVOURED A SICILIAN HOLIDAY?
Al Yag Vacation Park is situated in Pozzillo (Acireale), a small seafaring village on the shore of the Ionian Sea, and is a perfect location for discovering Sicily, one of the Mediterranean’s most charming islands.
A Land of contrast, characterized by an astonishingly diverse geography, Sicily can offer its visitors a wealth of gorgeous vistas and a varied climate thanks to the lush vegetation, crystal clear sea and golden sandy beaches punctuated with wild cliffs. Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe, attracts many visitors who are eager to glimpse smoke and lava spewing from the majestic peak.
While vacationing with us you won’t be able to avoid relaxing in the open air or staying cool in the shade of one of our numerous eucalyptus or pine trees. Alternatively, why not stretch out at the seaside, basking in the beautifully warm sun or take a dip in the clear waters of our sea.
When you’re feeling more energetic you can perhaps take full advantage of our facilities and enjoy an organized activity at the soccer pitch, beach volleyball court, bocce court or disco and then unwind in the pool with the accompanying hydro massage. We have many more activities for children and adults alike so you’re sure to find something to make your stay with us entertaining.

WOW! We loved ever minute of our stay at Resort Torre mare. The family welcomed us and made us feel like part of their family and made sure we had everything we needed. They offered to take us to the market and gave suggestions on where to dine. The Villa was so beautiful and every room was large and spacious. We stayed in a separate part of their home so it was completely Private. The bedrooms were separated so we all had lots of privacy. We had internet and also HD Televisions in each room. We kept the doors/windows open so you could feel a breeze through the house.
The bathrooms were beautiful as well. The towels were like a spa. The pool was amazing as well. We dove off of a huge Lava Rock into the very deep and luxurious pool. We spent time on the roof looking at Mt Etna in one direction and the Blue water of the ocean in another. We took day trips each day and the Villa was centrally located.
We could have stayed a month and not seen everything. Truth being it was really hard to leave the Villa each day as it is so Amazing! There is an orchard that surround the Villa so we could pick fresh fruit in the morning. Dolce and SiSi stole our hearts and we will never be the same.
If you are looking for the perfect vacation and want to feel like you are living in a Fairy Tale then this is where you want to stay. We travelled with our family from the United States and it was worth every penny we spent on Air Fare. Each morning we had Breakfast by the Pool and planned our day.
We had a rental car and there was always a place to park. The Villa is gated so we felt same and secure. We cooked dinner at the Villa several nights and we had everything we could need. When we arrived the refrigerator was stocked with goodies and there was fresh coffee. We have traveled a lot as I was a Flight Attendant and this Villa is the most perfect place we have ever visited. The memories we made will last a lifetime.
Appartement agréable , manquait la clim . Bien situé
Sadly Adriana told me just one week befor our arrival, that it was not possible to use the flat due to any reason I still do not now. At least she helped organising a bed and breakfast, which we really enjoyed!
Overall, I would highly recommend this villa for a relaxed family type holiday. The strongest selling points of the venue are:
1) Fantastic views from the house (on Etna and on the seaside) which is also surrounded by the lemon and olive trees. The territory around the house is very well looked after;
2)The hospitality of the owners (Vera and her husband) and relative proximity to Riposto village where you can explore local fish and fruit markets and get fantastic bread from the local bakeries.
I would strongly recommend renting a car to get around (beware of the narrow roads and Sicilian driving style). Also, be prepared that Etna can erupt (that what happenned when we have arrived) and, as a result, you might not be able to enjy the swimming pool...
We were 9 in the apartment, so we used all the space especially for the only bathroom, but the apartment is nice and we really enjoyed it! The setting is great, and the sea is close to the appartment! From the terrace you have a view of the volcano, and a part of the sea, it's magic. Adriana was very friendly and available, which was nice in order to enjoy our holidays!
Nice and comfortable apartment in little Stazzo, close to Acireale. We really enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend to rent a car to explore the area and the beaches nearby. Thanks Adriana for your hospitality and recommendations!
Adriana was awesome - she helped with directions, public transport, cabs, told me how to get around and pretty much answered any question I had. The house was perfect, super clean, spacious, brand new kitchen and bathroom, and there was air conditioning in the bedroom. The terrace was huge and has a beautiful view of Mt, Etna. Word of warning though, if your not up for getting buses or trains you'll need to rent a car. The house is a 20 minute train ride to Taormina (if you get an express train) and you must make the journey here as the beaches are to die for. It's a 10 minute train to Catania as well. If you want a quiet holiday, with beautiful views and really get a feel for the sicilian lifestyle, definitely stay here. it's a beautiful place. Thankyou Adriana! :)
We had a very good time. Five of us - two couples and a 2 year old toddler. Reception happened smoothly all was ready for our arrival with nice finishing touches of fruits, ground coffee and wine.
It was great for everybody. The apartment, which is a top half of an old nice town house has a plenty of space. All had their rooms - including the baby - and there were still some rooms left.
Once the youngest one was asleep there is an amazing rooftop terrace with a great view and an evening breeze where we had late dinners. This, we all thought, was the selling point of the place.
The apartment is in the center of Aci Castello, close to grocery stores, a bakery, pharmacies and banks. All you need is literally around a corner. Also a parking a car was not an issue, as there seemed to be just enough parking spots in the vicinity.
Adriana has been nothing short of fantastic:
- We waited until 1AM because we got lost along the way from the airport. - She gave us coffee and biscuits for breakfast
- She gave us fantastic organic lemons
- She advised us where to eat and what to visit (at 1am too)
- The house is beautiful and you can see smoking Etna from the terrace
