Dove’s Perch is wrapped in a soothing lavender color and furnished with Great Uncle Everett’s bedroom set. Uncle Everett loved to take photos and a sampling of images he captured, along with his old Brownie camera, are on display. Dove’s Perch has a comfortable queen bed with a memory foam top for a wonderfully restful sleep. The shared full bathroom (with neighboring room) has a shower and bathtub. A well-lit vanity offers drawer space appointed to each room for personal toiletries.

The space
Robin’s Nest is a petite bed and breakfast expressly designed to be casually relaxed and personable. It is infused with sprightly color and eclectically furnished with family heirlooms to blend a touch of nostalgia with contemporary comfort and convenience. The home was built in 2006 and renovated in 2017 to ensure our guests have a completely enjoyable experience.

Guest access
Guest rooms are all located on the second floor. Common areas open to guests are the front garden and foyer where communications can be left and found and bottles refreshed with filtered water. Coffee, tea, breakfast bars and snacks available throughout the day. The main floor is my private residence.

Other things to note
Amenities include individual room temperature control, terry bath robes, Coleman cooler, picnic back-pack, foldable side table for computer work, filtered water, bedside reading lamps, sound buffering shades, black out curtains, USB outlet for additional electronics, emergency flashlight, extra pillows and blankets and a designated drawer for toiletries in the bath.
Late-night owls and early birds staying at the Nest should all be able to get the rest they need. Quiet hours are from 9:30 pm to 7:30 am.
We are an eco-friendly business. We renovated the building using bamboo flooring and low VOC paints. Old appliances were replaced with new energy-efficient models. We use compact fluorescent bulbs in most light fixtures. Thermal insulated shades and blackout curtains are on all bedroom windows. We try, with our guests’ assistance, to keep laundry to a minimum and we use biodegradable cleaners. We do not use pesticides in our gardens or anywhere on the property. Our goal is to set a high standard of service, while impacting the earth as little as possible.

Robin's Nest is in a sunny area on top of Castle Hill, near the century old and reportedly haunted Manresa Castle. It's a short walk to see some wonderful views of the Port Townsend's historical skyline, and a five-minute drive to the heart of up-town, down-town, all local events, marinas, trails and everything else the area has to offer.

Robin was once a marketing and communications professional working consecutively for Publicis, Hewlett Packard, then Amazon. In 2003, she decided slow down and put her BFA to use producing landscape oil paintings. Now her attention is also on inn keeping. She runs a petite bed and breakfast in Port Townsend, WA. Robin’s vision of their home is a personal reflection: Simple, quiet and comfortable. Her aim is to create a warm, inviting bed & breakfast for guests to find relaxation and peace. Under her loving care – and a relentless pursuit of perfection — Robin’s Nest will continue to evolve with high standards and new experiences for all who stay

During your stay
I want my guests to have all the privacy they want, but try to check in with everyone at least once during their stay. I love to hear why people are visiting and if desired, offer recommendations on places and events I think will enhance their visit. I have lots of maps and brochures available that can be very handy.
