Elegantly decorated and with natural wood furniture, enjoy the great views from the two big windows, one of them looking to the Cathedral.
The dining room, toilet and kitchen (shared areas) have views to a palm trees garden, which is very unique downtown Tarragona.
PLEASE NOTE (so you know from the beginning the sensitive aspects of the apartment):
- Look at the pictures, the only Toilet/Bathroom is new, clean and SMALL.
- We are right next to a beautiful romanic-gothic cathedral. BELLS ring every 1/4 hour (the same for all downtown Tarragona). We are used to them and love their sound, their vibes make part of the magic of the place, but for some people it may be noisy.
- We avoid elaborated cooking or cooking meet while sharing our space. We strongly recommend to try restaurants around the corner from 7 € menu or 2,30 € breakfast.
Looking forward to meet you soon!!!
Soledad & Marta

Interaction with Guests
I am spending the summer season at home as well as my mother, Marta. We work nearby, what take us mostly out the apartment.
The old neighborhood is located in the top of a hill, perfect to get lost, to find romance, architectural treasures, lots of good restaurants and wine-tapas bars. Very difficult to park.
Restaurants around the corner from 7 € menu or 2,30 € breakfast.

Port Aventura thematic parc is 12 KM away and you can get by public transportation.
Other Things to Note
The building is from the 17th century and the basements probably older. The entrance is amazingly magical and shabby.
NO SMOKING and no pets allowed. You will enjoy very fine and clean carpets so we ask to leave your SHOES (OFF) at the entrance to keep the carpets clean :)
The room was in the old city of Tarragona, a charming city situated on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, between Barcelona and Valencia. The room appeared pretty much as advertised, and Soledad made me feel welcome. The room is straight across from an old cathedral, and the bell does toll every 15 minutes, but this didn't really bother me, and was actually part of the old world charm. The shower is small, and the curtain kept sticking to me as I tried to shower and there was no way to avoid getting water all over the floor. The room was comfortable and I had, for the most part, a pleasant stay. My only real complaint is that on the last morning, well before it was time to check out, her mother was anxious to clean the room for the next guests. Rather than me being able to pack up my own things, she decided to pack up my video camera gear, remove it from the room and place it by the front door of the apartment! This is $6000 worth of fragile equipment! Aside from feeling intrusive and pushed out before 11 am, under no circumstances is it acceptable to mess with another person's belongings. Because I wasn't able to pack my own gear, I ended up leaving behind my electrical adapters, which cost me another 20 euros to replace. I felt like my privacy was not respected.
Soledad met me in front of her place and we had lunch, and had a great little chat. She was a lovely host and her mother was there as well, and she was very kind too. The place obviously has a ton of history and has a character that I haven't seen anywhere else. The view from the balcony to the church is beautiful. The room itself has an old world feel and helped to slow my pace. The church bell did make it a little hard to sleep, but obviously that was not a problem with the church, however the bed could have been a bit more comfortable. In all the place is a great value, and Soledad is a great host. She knows her stuff, and is fun to hang out with.
Bardzo urocze miejsce. Wszystko zgodne z opisem. Pozdrawiamy Tomek i Aneta.
Soledad welcomed us like we were family. She made us feel right at home. We had breakfast with her every morning, and she would give us suggestions on where to go based on what we wanted to do that day. It was like having a tour guide with us on vacation! The location was great because we were close to everything. Even though the cathedral is gorgeous, this is one downside. We were not able to sleep very well because the cathedral bells go off every 15 minutes. We highly recommend bringing a set of ear plugs. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Tarragona and with Soledad and hope to visit again!
We loved staying with Soledad! She was always so helpful. Perfect location to experience historic Tarragona and Semana Santa. She has a very nice clean neat apartment in a beautiful old building. Her lovely mother Marta was also very helpful.
Soledad and her mother were great hosts, very friendly and warm. Everything was as previously described. The view was spectacular and the room was very cozy. The apartment was beyond clean. We got lots of good information about what to do and where to go eat. The only thing that we had to get used to was the street noise. We really enjoyed staying with Soledad and her mom and we would always book again. :)
