This room is located in the front of the house on Grand avenue which is a main street so there will be traffic noise. This is a safe neighborhood with a restaurant (email hidden) at the kitty-corner. It takes about 5 min. drive to downtown. There is a bus in front of the house to Navy Pier and 3 stops on train to loop with 5 blocks walking to train station. Bed with memory foam mattress with a small desk in the room. Use of living room with wall mount LCD with Netflix and cable, kitchen/pot/pan/utensils and wireless internet with a shared bathroom. Plenty of parking on street.
All common area in the apartment.
I work from home so you can ask me anything/anytime.
West town is a recently growing neighborhood. It is close to downtown but it is not as congested. It's also a safe neighborhood with 4 stars restaurant (email hidden) with burger lunch special at $6.99.
There is a bus to Michigan Ave/Navy Pier in front the house and train station to downtown 0.7 mile away.

Liked this place and it is really by downtown (though not in downtown). You can see the skyscrapers in the horizon.
Getting to town is easy since bus 65 stops within 30m of the entrance. Takes me only about 20 min. This place is also about 10 stops from the blue subway line which runs directly to and from O'Hare so that was a great bonus. Clean house, great room and lovely host. Thanks Tippi!
Arrived at Tippi's and had a nice stay. There's about two or so other people who were staying in other rooms. It was a nice and relaxing stay. The wifi was also really good.
I had a great communicatins with Tippi, she replied quickly and was a great help with a newbie to Airbnb, she was willing to answer all the questions I had. She helped me with recommendations for items I could get in the neighborhood, like food, etc (Breakfast House-I had Steak & Eggs Out on the Patio-Great Food & atmosphere. At the Out Post- I had Grilled Salomon Filet & Salad with Fruit - another great experience. I can recommend - great food at both places & it will not break your bank- both are across the street from Tippi 's).Tippi's home was an oasis for me in Chicago. Like a home away from home. I loved my little room (at the front of the house).I had everything I needed, with more hooks and shelves than I could use! Plenty of outlets, a great lamp that could be adjusted to different angles for reading, etc. The bed and pillow was like sleeping on a Cloud (no kidding). The towel was large and fluffy : ) TV was available, I was more of a reader this stay (good book).Tippi makes you feel right at home, hope to stay again. Great price! Refrigerator privileges also : ) Parking was a bit of an issue but it all worked out in the end : )
Tippi is a warm and welcoming host. she will answer your questions and gives you the privacy to stay comfortably in the house.you will not find her as a stranger.she is very friendly
Tippi (email hidden) set up like a hotel, with soap dispensers and a keyless entry! Pleasantly surprised! And her place is near a sweet up and coming area, West Town/Ukrainian Village. Skip the bus and hop the nearby Divvy bikes!
I had a great time visiting Chicago, and Tippi's hospitality, comfortable apartment and graciousness helped make it so. The room is cosy and the St traffic not very bothersome at all. I especially liked the location in relation to the "L" and the city center.
Tippi is an excellent host and a fine ambassador to the very diverse city of Chicago.
Her home is very clean and comfortable and truly just steps to a bus stop.
Tippi offered advice on directions and using the transit pass system.
I was in town for a wedding and was able to also get to a Cubs game..a world cup soccer watch party and so much more.
Make sure you read the house manual, and remember no shoes in the house.
The neighborhood is very good.
There (email hidden), a breakfast place and a pizza shop very close by.
I walked to the United Center and to train stops in about 10 minutes.
Tippi has a warm and welcoming personality and truly makes you feel at home. This was my very first Airbnb experience and my first trip to Chicago.
I would gladly stay at Tippi's again.
The room was small, but comfy. It served its purpose just fine. Tippi is a gracious hostess, a charming, friendly woman with some great stories! She very kindly let me use her refrigerator and kitchen because I had to take my lunch back and forth with me to work that week. I appreciate her kindness and generosity.
Great location--literally half a block to the 65 bus, less than a mile to the neighborhood's downtown. It's a nice room if you'll be out of the apartment most of the day: small, but totally empty for you put your things. Felt like a more private hostel.
The house is really nice and clean. I really recommend it if you go to Chicago. I will repeat for sure if I come back to this city next year.
