Interaction with Guests
We will provide as much or little support as you need to make your stay perfect!
160 acres of area to pay means peace, quiet and privacy. Circle K and Family Dollar are 10 minutes away with Wal-Mart, fast food, groceries, etc another 10 minutes up the highway.
There are two ways to get to/from the house from Tucson, one being 5 to 10 minutes faster. A four wheel drive vehicle is recommended for the shorter route, whereas the longer one can be traversed in any vehicle most of the year (monsoon can cause wash outs) .
This was my first time booking with Air B&B. The Marana ranch is tucked away in the lushest part of the Sonoran desert I have ever seen (and I'm an Arizona native.) Written instructions helped us find the spot....it's the brick house where the long, long driveway dead-ends.
It is a rustic spot; the kitchen is updated and it has gorgeous stained concrete floors and an amazing mesquite dining table. One bathroom, simple but comfortable rooms. We watched 3:10 to Yuma on their giant tv, which was the perfect end to a day exploring southern Arizona. Two scruffy ranch dogs are roaming about, which we really enjoyed. Coffee and fresh milk was provided.
The hosts are very responsive via phone, but we never saw them.
A nice stay and we would definitely stay there again.
If your looking for a rustic, private get away then this is the place. It's in the middle of the desert so the stars are AMAZING! The kitchen has been updated but it only has 1 bathroom. I would also suggest getting directions for the owner cause GPS kept getting us lost and rough dirt roads till we figured out the best way to go. Once we figured that out its still a dirt road but wide and very smooth so sedan car had no problem. I emailed the owner and let them know that the TV and blue ray didn't work(missing a cable) so hopefully they can get that fixed. And there was no microwave but we managed without.
Place is a little outdated but we liked it, it added to the ambiance.
All in all for the price I think it was worth it.
