Bed and Breakfast

Olive is a comfortable and bright room with a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. WiFi . With a south facing view over the rear gardens and swimming pool.

The en-suite shower room has a large shower, hand-basin and WC.

Tea and coffee-making facilities are in the room.

All linen and towels, including beach towels, are provided by us (and are included in the price).

The floor tiles are original 19th century terracotta tiles, known locally as "tomettes". These are set in plaster, no grouting, and give a warm and rustic feel.
Unlike our other guest rooms, Olive is situated off the staircase in our side of the house.

NB there is no aircon in Olive. There is an overhead electric ceiling fan, we can supply more fans if required.

Breakfast is included in the rental price and is served in the garden or our salon. We offer coffee / tea / chocolate with croissants, bread, butter, jams, fresh fruit.

Villa Roquette is a large house with plenty of room for our private apartments and bed and breakfast guests. The apartments and B&B suites are perfect for families, we welcome children and supply cots and high chairs.

Guest access

All our guests have unlimited access to the garden and pool. Chambre d'hôte guests are free to use our kitchen facilities at any time - fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery etc.

Interaction with guests

We live here and like to welcome our guests personally. We are on hand for advice and information but never intrude.

The neighborhood

Montblanc is a traditional Languedoc wine-growing village, surrounded by vineyards, with plenty of summer festivities. Our house is close to the centre but with a lovely calm feel.

We had a very relaxing time in villa Roquette. Carol and her husband gave us a warm welcome and are very friendly and flexible hosts. The room is in the house not too big, but lovely, quiet and the bed sleeps fantastic. The breakfast, served in the garden, is very tasteful with fresh bread and home made jelly. We definitely would recommend this place! Pieter van Baarle

We had a very relaxing stay at Carole's interesting & attractive house, in a separate apartment which was well equipped & really comfortable. Carole provided a plentiful supply of breads, preserves, fruit & drinks for breakfast, out in the garden, which was lovely. The dogs provided added entertainment & weren't in our way at all. Carole was around to answer any questions we might have but got on with her normal daily routine around us. I have already recommended Carole's house to my son, who would love the house as much as we did.

Carole and her family were wonderful hosts even though I only stayed one night. Their home is well lived in and very casual. Breakfast in the garden was delightful. I would highly recommend even one night to anyone.

Amazing b&b set in beautiful grounds and with a welcoming and very helpful host! The room was just as lovely as in the photos, and the grounds too. We only spent one night here on a trip from Marseille to Carcassonne but we couldn't resist a dip in the pool at dusk and we also had a fantastic meal at the local restaurant (Mahi Mahi) - some of the best food we had all holiday in fact. Carole was very warm and friendly, and gave great advice about the local area. Little touches like a leaving a big bottle of water in the room and free wifi made it even better.

We moved to France 25 years ago and have lived in Languedoc for 20 years as we love it so much. Our 3 kids grew up here and have moved away but enjoy coming back to visit and now we have both our mothers living with us as well. We have dogs and grandchildren, all equally loved!, and enjoy welcoming guests into our family home and life - many have become friends and comeback regularly.

My husband, Tony, is passionate about photography, in particular 19th century wetplate photography . He has built himself a darkroom and photo lab and has built up an impressive collection of cameras and photographic equipment as well as old photos and prints. He loves sharing his passion with visitors so please come and chat with him about it all. He tours the local antiques and 'flea' markets every Sunday and is adept at spotting interesting finds.

We aim to provide a relaxed and family atmosphere at Villa Roquette. Our house reflects our varied interests and passions and is as far away as possible from a formal hotel experience.
