The village of Montblanc is in the Languedoc region in the South of France and dates from Roman times. Our beautiful house is built of stone. The main frontage is 19th century, a French “Maison de Maitre”, a home for a landowner or professional person. Originally our house was the home of a doctors family. Some parts are much older, there have been many changes over the centuries.

  • Amazing b&b set in beautiful grounds and with a welcoming and very helpful host! The room was just as lovely as in the photos, and the grounds too. We only spent one night here on a trip from Marseille to Carcassonne but we couldn't resist a dip in the pool at dusk and we also had a fantastic meal at the local restaurant (Mahi Mahi) - some of the best food we had all holiday in fact. Carole was very warm and friendly, and gave great advice about the local area. Little touches like a leaving a big bottle of water in the room and free wifi made it even better.

  • Comfortable, quaint, and lovely describe this delightful place in MontBlanc. Situated in a sleepy quintessential village, we enjoyed a restful stay for one night after a long day of driving. The pool was refreshing, and the courtyard relaxing. The delicious petite dejeuner was a wonderful added bonus, and mingling with other guests (and sharing a song) is a seared memory. Thank you for the last minute reservation!

  • We stayed here for one night and were very comfortable. We arrived a bit late, but they were waiting and ready for us. We also were traveling with our dog who they also made feel more than welcome. The room is quite large and airy with a great ceiling fan to help if it's a bit hot. In the morning they provide an excellent breakfast with breads and fruits and coffee - more than we could eat. Overall we were all satisfied guests.

  • Carole and Anthony was the best of hosts! We saw Carole very often and she was nice, had humor and was very service minded with everything we needed!! We also had the pleasure to see her and Antonys mother, their son and one of their daughters with her baby visiting and of course Rocky - the dog! All of theme where very pleasant !! After that we had a nice breakfast, we took a swim in the clear pool to cool us down. When it was to hot we went under the parasols to take a glass of wine. It is a perfect place as a base to go to other towns/villages/sea because everything is very close if you want to discover Langedoc by car!! We recommend Marseillen with its restaurants and seafood at the harbor, Clermont l´Herault with the hills around, Narbonne and of course Carrcassone. Don´t miss the wine tasting on fridays i Pezenas. Every wednesdays it´s in Montblanc!!! We met a lot of other nice guests that stayed for a night or two - but we where the long-staying ones for 11 days!! We liked every minute in this charming house and garden and highly recommend this bed & breakfast to everyone that will have a relaxed not luxury but french/english charming atmosphere!!

  • I had a lovely stay at Carole's place. Everything was neat and clean and very quiet. Carole and her husband was very helpful with suggestions and taking me to and from the train station. Breakfast was great too. :) Would recommend to anyone!

  • As a familiy of four, we stayed in the Sunflower Suite. The room was spacious and spotless. We were out and about pretty much all day so we only met Carole and Rocky the dog during breakfast! Everything was very relaxed and easy going. We felt comfortable and our two little ones as well. Breakfast with fresh croissants, baguette and coffee - all we needed! Would definitely stay there again.

  • Lovely charming house in a charming scenic village.

Tony n Carol took care of the smallest of details to ensure we had a comfortable stay. it was a 'home away from home' feeling all the way.

Tony also guided us to fine restaurants in the area for a lovely experience.
I wish we could stay longer. We shall be back soon.

  • My wife and I arrived in Barcelona in the early morning. We were shuttled to a nearby warehouse district where we picked up our rental car. Two blocks later, we had to pull over with a flat tire. With our phone needing charging we elected to walk back to the rental car office to request assistance. Upon returning to our vehicle 15 minutes, later we discovered that all of our personal belongings were missing. This was not a good beginning to a vacation to which we were so looking forward. Five hours later we arrived in Montblanc,France, the home of Villa Roquette, our home for the next week. Tony met us at the entry and immediately perceived that his new guests were in need of some special attention. We were seated in the back terrace and a lovely chilled bottle of local white wine was uncorked and served. As we consumed the bottle our patient host became the recipient of our story and the dilemma we were facing. We were shown to our room, had nothing to put away, a cursory clean up, followed by Tony personally escorting us to the only restaurant in town, and introduced us to the ownership. After a lovely meal and a good night's sleep it was time to shop. The following morning, Tony's wife,Carole, escorted us to the local pharmacy, where we were able to procure all the medications we were missing. Having our health in hand, we were then directed to Pezenas, a local town, where a large 'everything' store was located. One stop shopping is just what we needed. Clothing, shoes, toiletries and food, both prepared and on the shelf. Also, the Tidwell's picked up a replacement phone charger for us. Having conquered the bare necessities of traveling abroad, it was now time to visit with friends and plan day trips. They provided us with information of interesting sites that they felt were exceptional. Directions were a necessity and they were provided with a smile. However, getting lost is all part of the experience, so we always said 'goodbye', knowing we might not see one another again. We made it back day after day with food from the local market or the 'everything' store to be joined with a bottle of chilled wine from the refrigerator purchased the day before. Having lost our means of communication (iPad) we were graciously invited to use their phone as well as their computer system, which we spent many grateful hours doing. The continental breakfast was simple but quite satisfying and served, within reason, at your convenience. What started out as a sour note in Barcelona soon became a sweet tune with the support, care and generosity of our host and hostess. Aside from the private rooms and suites, this was not a house but a home. We had the pleasure of meeting most of the family-a truly a delightful bunch. If we visit the area again, we know where we will be staying. Steve and...
