Description

The Space

The suite is at the front of the house and looks out towards our large cedar trees. It has a calm and welcoming environment with plenty of room for guests to stretch out on the large bed or on the elegant day-bed in the salon. Exposed beams add an authentic touch of history and blend in well with modern comforts.

Villa Roquette is a large house, a classic Maison de Maitre, with plenty of room for our private apartments and bed and breakfast guests. The apartments and B&B suites are perfect for families, we welcome children and supply cots and high chairs.

Our swimming pool, garden terraces and barbecue area welcome you, or relax and read in the gardens, our aim is to make your stay with us in our guest house a visit you will enjoy.

Our rates are fully inclusive of all services.

In the heart of Languedoc Southern France, our Maison d’Hote Guest house, Bed and Breakfast and self-catering vacation apartments are close to the French Mediterranean and the historic towns of Pezenas, Agde, Beziers and Montpellier our vacation apartments and BandB offer a high level of comfort and are close to many wonderful locations.

We live in Montblanc , a typical French village in Languedoc, the heart of the real South of France, warm bread and croissants on your own table every morning. We are a few minutes from the Mediterranean and also from the mountains and lakes of the Languedoc National Park. Discover the history of the region in the local towns of Pezenas, Montpellier and Carcassonne.

The village of Montblanc is in the Languedoc region in the South of France and dates from Roman times. Our beautiful house is built of stone. The main frontage is 19th century, a French “Maison de Maitre”, a home for a landowner or professional person. Originally our house was the home of a doctors family. Some parts are much older, there have been many changes over the centuries.

The South of France is famous for sunshine, wine and a relaxed French lifestyle. French cuisine offers specialties of the Languedoc region. Our chambre dhotes, Bed and Breakfast suites and apartments offer you the perfect holiday and vacation accommodation to discover Languedoc and the South of France.

We are a few minutes from the Mediterranean, surrounded by French history, a hours drive from Spain and you will receive a warm and friendly welcome staying with us in either our bed and breakfast accommodation or private apartments.

With golf course nearby (we offer free use of sets of clubs) Mediterranean beaches under 20 minutes from us and some of the best waking and cycling routes in Europe on our doorstep.

A great region for geocaching and exploring.

We moved to France 25 years ago and have lived in Languedoc for 20 years as we love it so much. Our 3 kids grew up here and have moved away but enjoy coming back to visit and now we have both our mothers living with us as well. We have dogs and grandchildren, all equally loved!, and enjoy welcoming guests into our family home and life - many have become friends and comeback regularly.

My husband, Tony, is passionate about photography, in particular 19th century wetplate photography . He has built himself a darkroom and photo lab and has built up an impressive collection of cameras and photographic equipment as well as old photos and prints. He loves sharing his passion with visitors so please come and chat with him about it all. He tours the local antiques and 'flea' markets every Sunday and is adept at spotting interesting finds.

We aim to provide a relaxed and family atmosphere at Villa Roquette. Our house reflects our varied interests and passions and is as far away as possible from a formal hotel experience.
