For your booking you get a beautiful large and bright apartment of 80 square meters. It only seems to be not very central, because with the bus coach M41 (bus stop only 2 minutes from the flat) you have a perfect way to get everywhere in the city.
First an important information for my guests: Of course you are alone for yourself. I live in close vicinity, so that I am available round-the-clock for questions and can be, if necessary, within less minutes with you.
Here now the description of the flat:
The beautiful apartment is about 80 square meters big with a long corridor (hall), big kitchen with a cubby, a bathroom with bathtub and a large and bright living- and bedroom with a balcony. The walls are nearly 3,60 meters high. The flat is calm, very cosy and completely furnished ((website hidden), HiFi and Internet DSL 4000, surf-flatrate with printer/copy/scan/fax). There’s a bus stop near the house and also an underground and a local train station are easily reachable on foot.
My apartment is nearby Hertzbergplatz (North-Neukölln, not far from Kreuzberg). From there is about 7 min. by walk to the local train station S Sonnenallee (Ringbahn S41, S42) and about same distance to the metro station U Karl-Marx-Straße (U7). The metro coach M41 is about 80 m to the next traffic light crossroad (bus stop Hertzbergplatz), crosses many underground lines and leads straight through the town, for example to Potsdamer Platz and further on to Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). At the same bus stop the airport coach 171 starts directly to the airport Schönefeld.
There is enough space to park your car free of charge in the streets around the house. There are 3 supermarkets nearby: 1. Lidl (leaving the house to your right about 200 m), 2. Rewe (leaving house straight on across the street, 2. left, about 300 m), 3. Netto (at the local train station Sonnenallee, 500 m).
Just round the corner is the place Richardplatz, the central place of the former village Rixdorf, with his amazing clarify, inexpensive and tasty (garden-)restaurants. The quiet and village atmosphere is estimated equally by the Berliners as well as by tourists very much.
The district Neukölln moves more and more in the centre of the young art scene, the rents are still affordable, the multiculturalism functions here admirably and with the Sonnenalle, the Karl-Marx-street and his varied shopping possibilities and stroll possibilities after the Hermann's place about the Hasenheide (national park Hasenheide, airport park Tempelhof) is this district one of the most effervescent and busiest corners of completely Berlin. From the "Forum Neukölln", the biggest shopping mall (approx. 10 min footpaths) in the Karl-Marx-street, these are to the mall "Alexa" and Galeria Kaufhof on the Alexander's place by coach and underground approx. 20 minutes.
The next cinema, the "Passage Neukölln" (in foot nearness), has, by the way, as the biggest film hall (hall 1) one of few original theatrical halls (with swinging armchairs!). In immediate neighborhood there is the café Rix (Saalbau Neukölln) and is at the same time coffee house, restaurant and gallery. His rooms were restored about 1880 in the luxuriously atmosphere of the classical Viennese coffee house.
In few minutes you are at the Landwehrkanal, which permits wonderful walks along the shore in direction to the Kottbusser Tor (with landing stage of the Berlin star navigation for circles on the waterways of Berlin) and further on to other sightseeing points.
Now I would be pleased with inquiries of all kind and am available to you with pleasure for other information.
Warmly from Berlin, your
Bernhard J. Behr.

Interaction with Guests
A good communication with the guests (f.e. eMail, Airbnb, SMS) and her well-being belongs to my good service. I am accessible round-the-clock to the guests.
My guests estimate the atmosphere and the neighborhood of my Neukölln flat very much. Besides it lies far in the north of Neukölln and in a few minutes, also on foot, you are in Kreuzkölln, the region between Neukölln and Kreuzberg.
A few metres away from the flat there is the bus stop of the both bus routes 171 (airport shuttle bus directly to the airport Schönefeld, 40 min) and the metro coach M41. This goes straight through the town to the Potsdam Square (Potsdamer Platz, 20 min) and further to the central station (Hauptbahnhof, 30 min). It crosses several underground lines and other metro bus routes, goes all 5 minutes during the day and also at night.
Other Things to Note
For the guests who arrive by the car there are enough space for parking in the closer area and even just infront of the flat. All are free of charge.
My guests should have sense for order and cleanness and handle carefully with a completely furnished flat and its furnishings. I have also a hair dryer for your using. Also a microwave belongs to the culinary equipment.
The flat is a non-smoker's flat. However, there is the possibility to smoke on the balcony where you also find an ashtray and lighter.
Bernhard is a very kind person. He is always helpfull and answerd with a quick respond every time we asked for something. The apartment is what we needed. Really quiet zone but 20 minutes to the city centre taking the bus and metro. It is very organized and clean. In the kitchen you have everything you need. Absolutely perfect.
Already before booking, from the pictures and the kind-worded description of Bernhard Behr's beautiful flat, it was obvious that this place was special. However, we found that upon arrival, it was so much better! With the warmest welcome, we were concisely shown everything that we needed to know, from lights to maps of the local area. Not only is the place clean, light and beautifully fitted, you will need for nothing, neither tea nor biscuits! We found we felt very much at home here, and after a long day of exploring Berlin, we looked forward to returning to this gorgeous little flat. From beginning to the end of our stay, Bernhard was exceedingly kind and helpful, and we would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet, yet still central and upcoming area of Berlin. We definitely know that we'll be returning very soon!
The directions to the apartment where very clear and we found it easily. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and Bernhard was very helpful when showing us around the apartment and providing us with maps of the local area. He made it clear that if we had any problems ( with the flat or in Berlin) then we should contact him at any time. We were then left to relax in a beautiful, tidy apartment with everything we needed. Bernhard had left clean towels and delicious chocolates. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful. The location suited us and we found it very easy to travel into the city centre either by bus or underground. There are supermarkets, independent food outlets, cafes and restaurants all within half a mile.
On our second day Bernhard sent us a text message to check we were ok and if we needed any help which was very kind.
I'm very happy to add to the long list of glowing reviews for Bernhard and this gorgeous apartment! The apartment is bright and spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we could need. We immediately felt very at home here! Some great bars, cafes and supermarkets are within walking distance and there are nearby transport links to take you to all parts of Berlin.
Bernhard was a perfect host. Friendly, welcoming and communicative from the start, he gave us all the information we needed and made it clear that he would be on hand if we needed to know anything else. So much care and attention was put into making sure our stay would be a pleasant one.
I hope to come and stay here again in the future and would heartily recommend this apartment to anybody. Thank you Bernhard!
My parents stayed at Bernhard's and they loved it ! The flat is really spacious and cosy. They appreciated how Bernhard welcomed them and took care of their needs.
Thanks for all from the whole familly !
Bernard was the perfect host he made us feel incredibly welcome and was very helpful and we felt we could ask him anything and it wouldn't be a bother. We first thought The area wasnt perhaps the most desirable location but actually it was really good as we got to experience Berlin with people who live in Berlin and not the usual tourists... Very easy to get around the train very close and easy to use. Bernhards apartment is gorgeous better than any hotel room he left us deilisious choclets! Very stylish. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.
It was wonderful staying at Bernhards-the flat is beautiful, roomy with high ceilings and immaculate decor. Bernhard met us himself at the flat after giving clear instructions on how to find it-he was friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to meet him! Everything in the flat worked well and smoothly, it was warm(which was a relief as it was mid January!) and we stayed in some nights and enjoyed the living room with it's comfy sofa and house plants. The surrounding area was great to explore too, and it was lovely coming back from a busy day to the peace of the apartment. Thank you Bernhard! I would definitely recommend your place to anyone staying in Berlin.
I grew up in a part of Bavaria (Franconia) and changed to Berlin in 1997. There I worked finally as an editor, but I'm also singing professionally since 1985. In that function since 2003 I'm a freelance professional vocalist.
