Jardim Paulista is an upscale neighborhood west of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is part of the region known as the city gardens, the predominance of upper-class. The neighborhood is part of the homonymous district, administered by the borough of Pines. It is located in one of the tallest in the city of São Paulo called Spike.

It borders the neighborhoods: Jardim America, Bela Vista, Morro dos Ingleses, Paradise Gardens Europe and Cerqueira César.

[Edit] Historian eighteenth century the region has some of the neighborhood sites, which were grown tea, tobacco and grapes. At the end of the next century, in 1890, the lands were purchased by General Juvenal Couto Magalhães and subsequently resold to Joseph Coelho Pamplona [1].

In the early decades of the twentieth century, families and Paim Pamplona lotearam part of the property [1]. Many of the roads were open named for counties such as Alameda Campinas, Santos, Jau, Itu, France, Tietê, among others, from which came the name of the neighborhood.

Unlike the winding roads of Europe and Garden Garden America, full of roundabouts and junctions, Jardim Paulista had straight and perpendicular streets. Its first residents were upper middle class, especially small traders and large industrial [1].

After the second half of the twentieth century and the nearby Avenida Paulista, the district purchased commercial features, verticalizing with the construction of small office buildings and trade.

In its territory are located the consulates, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Romania and Venezuela. [2] [3]

Luis Antonio Street and the U.S. (the stretch between the last two avenues). Jardim Paulista also has a subway station: the Trianon-MASP-2 on the Green Line.
