About this listing
Stay in a large townhouse with ample living room space in a residential suburb east of the city, 20 minutes to the airport, yet speedily connected via Kembangan mrt which is only a three-minute walk away. The sea is just 2 km south of here.
Three things guests like about my home:
1. it's decorated with love
2. proximity to an mrt station
Two things guests don't like about my home:
1. you need to carry your own luggage up the stairs
2. there is no swimming pool
The nightly rate covers all three bedrooms (Red Palm, Leopard and Plumeria) with an occupancy of six people - two in each room. I can accommodate up to fourteen (14) people in these three rooms, but there is a surcharge for the third, fourth and fifth person sharing the room (unless they are 10 years old or younger). Should you not want all three rooms, I suggest you check out the other listings of the same house which gives you individual room rates. You can do this by clicking on my photo. Please note that definition of 'people' here includes all bodies - babies, young children, teenagers and adults. And I am strict about the maximum I can accommodate in the three rooms - fourteen - as well as the number of people in each room. Red Palm - maximum of 2, Leopard - maximum of 5, Plumeria - maximum of 7.
As you can see from the map, we are located three minutes by foot (291 m) from Kembangan mrt (EW6) which is very convenient if you are zipping around Singapore. You could take the mrt from Changi Airport and be at our house within 35 minutes - and that's includes the walk from the train station to the house. By taxi from the airport it would take 15 minutes. And to Orchard Road from Kembangan, that's about 16 minutes including one change - this is faster than a cab, particularly during peak hours when it can be hard to find one.
Breakfast is included in the price.
Bed configuration is as follows:
Bedroom named 'Red Palm' situated on the ground floor. 8 sq metres (yes, it's small) but best mattress in the house - one double bed (size 1.9 x 1.55m) (maximum 2 people) - with ensuite private bathroom
Bedroom named 'Leopard Tree' (area: 17.25 sq m, situated on the 2nd floor) - one double bed (size 1.9 x 1.55 m), one double sofa bed, one single Airweave futon floor mattress (maximum 5 people) - with ensuite private bathroom
Bedroom named 'Plumeria' (area, 21 sq m, situated on the third floor) - one double bed (size 2 x 1.45 m), one double bed (size 1.9 x 1.5 m), one double sofa/bed, and one single Airweave futon floor mattress (maximum 7 people) - with ensuite private bathroom
All bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans. And curtains and blinds for total black-out.
There is also free wifi.
Children, aged ten and below at time of stay, who are sharing the room with paying adults, are free.
In all bedrooms there will be an electric kettle, and instant coffee/tea sachets. All rooms have a landline phone with intercom function to the other rooms and a safe. There is also cable tv as well as hairdryers and IPad/IPhone/IPod docking device which comes with radio and alarm, and an IPad. There are also cotton robes for your use.
There is a washing machine, but no dryer at the backyard. Laundry is on a do-it-yourself basis. There are pull down poles under cover so drying is not a problem in mostly tropical Singapore.
Nearby there are two basketball courts open to the public, a 420-metre walking/jogging track, and two playgrounds.
There is also a home-gym on the uppermost floor which you could use, and a roof terrace to chill out. Smoking is allowed on the roof terrace (but please close the sliding door behind you).
More about the house - this is a hosted stay - I live in the house. In other words you do not get the whole house to yourself. Landed semi-detached townhouse with small but pretty garden, koi pond and artfully decorated rooms. You will have access to ground floor living and dining rooms, as well as the kitchen, should you want to cook. If cooking, please do the washing-up and leave the kitchen in the condition you found it. Please help yourself to what condiments we have. I need to add that neither my helper or I have to be around when you cook. We'll show you where the pots and pans are, but we are not your assistants.
Should you prefer to exercise outdoors, we are 35 minutes by foot from the South China Sea. Just follow the park connector southwards and get a feel of residential Singapore along the way. When there, the East Coast Park provides ample opportunity for food, cycling (you can rent bikes there), camping (you need a permit), swimming, etc.
PLEASE READ THIS IF INTERESTED IN BOOKING:
1. My rates are non-negotiable.
2. As I am sharing my home with you, I would like to know briefly more about the purpose of your visit, who is in your party (family, partner, friend, colleague), and you need to upload a headshot photo in your Airbnb profile. I need to see clearly what you look like. If you book without sending a suitable photo, I will still ask for one before I accept, and if I don't get a reply within an hour, will decline your booking.
3. If you are arriving by plane, you need to give me your flight number. And if transferring from somewhere else, you need to check in by 9pm. You need to communicate with me on your checking in time. If you don't there may not be anyone in, or I may be asleep.
4. The person enquiring should also be needing accommodation.
5. The purpose of your stay with me should only be for genuine overnight accommodation. I am not interested in hosting for personal or business events, staycations and photo/film shoots.
6. My daily rate is based on the profile of the tourist or business traveller. Out after breakfast and back in the evening - early or late. If you intend to be in your room the whole day, you must let me know at the time you make your booking, as there will be a surcharge for extended use of air conditioning.
7. check-in/check-out, 12 noon, but am flexible as long as no other booking - this means as early as 8am for check-in and as late as 9pm for check-out - subject to availability and cannot be confirmed until a day before your arrival. If you need a guaranteed early check-in or late check-out I suggest you book an extra day pre or post the core period. Should you have to vacate your room by 12pm, you can leave your luggage in my storeroom until you need to go to the airport. There is also a small spare bathroom you could use to freshen up.
8. I sometimes get asked if house previews are available before you book - the answer would be no. The photos you see of the house and rooms are accurate; if they weren't there would be some mention about this in guests' reviews. At present, I am only entertaining short-term accommodation and, as such, I feel previews are unnecessary. Should you have a specific question in mind about the room, however, I would be very happy to answer via email.
9. I have indoor cats who mind their own business and will not approach you except for one very friendly cat. So if you are very allergic or scared of cats, perhaps this is not the place for you.
10. house rules:
strictly no smoking indoors
switch off air conditioner, lights, and fan when you leave your room
no visitors without prior permission - I might add that I don't expect your visitor to stay longer than half an hour and they are to be entertained in the living room.
1) no smoking indoors
2) switch off all utilities when you go out
3) no outside visitors without prior permission
We had the most wonderful stay at Bianca's home. The place is so full of character, with beautiful furniture and well curated room essentials. Everything you need for a quick relaxing night stay is provided for, up to the last detail. The house location is very strategic as well. It's just a short walk to/from the MRT and Changi airport. But what made our stay extra special was Bianca's warm hospitality, and the extra mile she gave in cooking breakfast, being patient and engaging with our kids, giving us tips on how to commute, and other local info. We will surely stay with her again in the future!
This is a amazing house! Bianca is a very nice person . We love Bianca and her house and her lovely cats. The house is five minutes walk from the MRT . The house is very quiet, and we slept very well. The breakfast was very delicious, especially banana bread，I love it !
Me and my entire family recently visited Singapore for vacation and stayed at The Breezy East Three Rooms near Kembhagen MRT. Our host Binaca was extremely cordial and provided us all the assistance in making our stay comfortable and memorable.
The house was well maintained with lot of valuable artifacts displayed at appropriate places which created an serene environment filled with positive vibrations. The house had ground plus two floors which could easily accommodate 11 guests. She was very particular on the number of guests in various rooms, as the layout of the rooms were designed for specific number of guests per room.
Since, the host was in the business of providing rented accommodation to tourists, she had made arrangements to provide desired comfort to the guests with various massage equipment's placed in the first floor of the house, which we could use once we arrive back home after spending a long tiring day at various tourist locales. The house had gymnasium facility located at the terrace for health conscious guests.
The rooms were equipped with all facilities like air conditioner, spacious ward robes, wide bathrooms having all toiletries, safe lockers and an I-Pad for seeking any information as required.
The house is guarded by electronic gates and cute cats who are very friendly and act as great hosts to the kids.
Breakfast was included as part of the package and Bianca served us varied types of breads, cereals, pasta etc which had great taste and was light on our stomach. She also provided us with MRT cards, maps etc which we could use to travel and also gave us adequate information about the destinations we were planning to visit in Singapore.
This is a gist of our stay at Bianca house which was truly a memorable experience and we hope to visit her again in the near future.
We would strongly recommend Bianca house "The Breezy East Three Rooms" to all the visitors planning to visit Singapore and are seeking appropriate accommodation to stay.
After a year long plan to visit Singapore along with close friends and families, we booked the 'Three Rooms' with Bianca. The choice was greatly helped by the positive reviews and pictures of the rooms. We all were in for a pleasant surprise as the rooms and facilities were exactly as appealing and splendid in reality, as seen in the pictures. It isn't often that this happens, is it? Adding to the pleasure was Bianca being an extremely warm and courteous host who treated us like her family. Very comfortable & clean rooms, all facilities as mentioned are excellent and in fact this experience turned out better than a stay at any hotel.
Bianca helped us with her thorough local knowledge in reaching places we had on our itinerary . The massage chair and foot massager were great to relax at end of each long day of sight seeing, and should be crowd pullers in their own right!
The house is located on the eastern side of singapore, making it close to the Airport and a little displaced from usual tourist interest places. The fact that it's actually a 3 minute walk from the MRT station,it's not such a big problem at all. Moving around Singapore by the MRT is an easy experience everywhere. We did most of our travel by the MRT, with 5 kids, and yet found it very convenient .
We will cherish our experience here at The Breezy East, hosted by Bianca and would strongly recommend staying here while in Singappore.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
It was my first time to use Airbnb and I did not regret choosing Breezy Breeze. Bianca was such a gracious host and her warmth can be felt as soon as you step into her house because every corner is filled with her personal collection & detailed touch of ornaments and contraptions. Even her welcome notes and room instructions are personalized and handwritten. If you have no preference, breakfast is always something to look forward to as she serves healthy and varied selections of menu each day. Only the breakfast cereal is a staple. After a days long walk, you can pamper yourself with her varied electronic massagers from foot to a whole body massage.. that alone was a luxury. Her place is really only 5 mins away from the MRT. And if you are up for cheap finds and good hawker food, Bedok is a station away where it can be a good alternative to Chinatown but without the Chinese decor. Everyone in our group has only nice words to say about Breezy Breeze. It is a highly recommended place to stay.
Our families traveled to Singapore and stayed in Bianca's house during Chinese Spring Festival. I am glad that we choose her house. The location of this house is great, with 10 -min walk from the subway station and a large supermarket nearby. The house is exactly the same as the pictures and things only gets better when you hear the nice jazz music lingers in the living room. Bianca is the best house holder ever. She provided us with very comfortable accomandation and surprised us with delicious breakfast every morning. Also, she provided us many advices about the local food and sight spots. Thanks for her hospitality, we have a very unforgetable experience in singapore. If you are looking for a home-like place to stay in Singapore, Bianca's house can be a very nice (website hidden): The massage chairs on the second floor are very considerate for tourists who traveled all day long to relax their feet.

About the Host, Bianca
I like the idea of hosting - providing a safe haven for travellers has always appealed to me. And the income I get from it can go back to the house by way of repairs and renovations.
Also, you learn a lot from travellers all over the world and make lots of friends. I encourage everyone to be a host because getting to know people must be one of the best jobs in the world!
Since the beginning of this year (2015) I have been an active lobbyist for the legalisation of Airbnb in Singapore. You can check what I've been doing on my website.
I often get asked where I'm from. I am Singaporean - born here in this multi-racial, multi-religious country. I am of Eurasian ancestry, in my fifties, now retired (used to be in retail). Eurasians in Singapore are usually descendants from long-ago colonisers. Primarily in this region that would be the Portugese and Dutch who have intermarried with the locals.
