About this listing
Big double bedroom in peaceful home set in the rice fields. A very beautiful surrounding with some killer views of jungle and distant volcanoes. The home is brand new (just a couple of months old) and kept sparkling clean. Daily cleaning provided.
The house is brand new, sparkling clean, and has a nifty pool. The quintessential 360 degree views of rice fields, jungle and volcanoes makes this house quite special.
Guests are totally welcome to make use of the pool, kitchen, and other shared spaces.
Interaction with Guests
I'm generally around and happy to show you around, give you some tips, and join you for some yummy food.
Sanggingan is set just outside of the main bustle of Ubud, but still allows for super speedy access to everything Ubud has to offer. Sanggingan is blessed with a killer Italian restaurant, a most excellent Indonesian Warung, an awesome (and pretty cheap) spa and of course the famous (but if slightly overrated) Naughty Nuri's.
You're life will be easier if you're comfortable in riding a scooter. But it's still only a short work to the main road where you're able to grab a taxi.
Respect our neighbours, local culture, and the peace.
No animals, no smoking.
We loved this place nestled in one of the prettiest rice field patches in Ubud! No negative feelings about our experience except that we could not book another month ;)
The house itself is stunning, lovely well kept gardens and pool; nice bathrooms, well equipt kitchen and cozy bedrooms. Wayan the cleaner is magnificent, keeping the house spotless. Fast by Bali standards WIFI and good workspace made working from the house a joy. Never met Kieth but he does a nice job picking people to manage the house.
Keith was the best host! You receive a welcome package on arrival, he carried my big suitcase up the stairs when I got in and he's a wealth of knowledge for the local area and the housemates all go out for meals often. It's a very social house if you want it to be but also plenty of space for you to have your own time with everyone having their own bathrooms and big rooms.
The listing was very accurate for the house - beautiful big, sunlit room which Wayan cleans daily for you. The house is so clean thanks to Wayan, the pool is beautiful, you'll fall asleep here to the sound of frogs and crickets, wake up to the roosters.
I think you do need a scooter to live here in the long-term but if you are happy to catch cabs into town (which is very easy) then it's a lovely walk through the rice paddies to get to the main road from the house. The plus side of the location in the paddies is the quiet and the nice break you get here away from busy Ubud. I felt very safe in this area.
Staying with Keith was an awesome experince! His place is just as pictured in the pictures; fresh, clean, bright, simple and beautifully situated in the rice fields. It's a good place if you want to be able to both have your privacy and also have the opportunity to interact with the other housemates. The wi-fi is super fast and other than a few power outs it ran perfectly. The house and pool were cleaned daily and there's a good kitchen if you want to cook.
Being situated at the end of a narrow path that leads away from the main road this might not be the place for you if you don't want to be in nature or want to be on walking distance to Ubud center.
I found Keith to be very easy to get along and communicate with, having lived in Bali for a couple of years he also have extensive knowledge about Ubud which he shared and that came great in hand.
The listing description was accurate. I used this place as a homebase while I traveled about Bali and the surrounding islands and it was perfect for it. The location is good- close to the center of town but quiet in the evenings at the house. The house is beautiful and well maintained. I had a lovely trip and Keith was very gracious in helping me when I ran into trouble or just had a question.
Keith house is great! Very specious and amazingly located. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Bali. Pictures are accurate. Bedroom is huge and bathroom great.
House is located in a middle of rice field - 6 mins walk to the main street which is very convenient (there is a good walk path). Plenty of nice restaurants around. The biggest plus of the house is very fast internet connection considering you are in Bali. Most places have internet 1Mbps, occasionally 2Mbps. Keith's is 5Mbps - which is an exception for Bali so all digital nomads will find it great!
Would definitely come back.
I spent close to a month staying at Keith's place and it truly was a beautiful, magical place with great views of rice fields & clean, fresh air. This really is a stay with a difference & one you would never forget. I had a delightful & peaceful time throughout my stay. Keith was very prompt with his responses and extremely helpful with any questions I had. Wayan, the helper, was a gem. He kept the house spick and span & was very friendly. I enjoyed our daily chats very much. The house is in a great location with many eateries within walking distance and it is close enough to get to Ubud centre by bike but also far enough from the hustle & bustle. The highlight of my stay would have to be the housemates I had. I met such lovely people & formed friendships with many that made my stay in Ubud all the more enjoyable & memorable. I also loved chatting with the Balinese people living in the area. Such warm-hearted people. Thank you for the experience!
Keith welcomed us in his comfortable and modern house, where we felt at home from the start. He gave us some really good advice on what to do and see, in and outside of Ubud and we are very pleased with how our vacation turned out. We stayed for four nights, but wish we had time to stay longer, as we truly enjoyed our stay. My boyfriend and I highly recommend Keith as a host and wish him good luck. We hope to come back in the near future.
