Thanks for your 4-star review Maria, though I’m sorry it wasn’t a 5.
To recap: You booked, you canceled your trip, and asked me if Friend 1 (Caitlin) could take your place; Caitlin came with a dog, even though I am listed as “not pet friendly.”
You put me in touch with Friend 2, Maddie, as the contact person, who was pleased with the recommendations I sent her.
One day before arrival, Maddie’s flight was canceled. Enter contact person Friend 3, Susan. That same day, to my surprise and without any advance notice, I was receiving and holding packages for your friends.
Meanwhile, Caitlin contacted me to discuss the extra deposit I had requested for the dog, which I told her I would waive. (Website hidden by Airbnb) was now trying to accommodate 3 people from your party, other than you. And when I let Susan in, she was – at this point – still asking for recommendations.
Yet on Saturday February 24th, I was unable to reach any of the 3 about checkout times. Which left me hanging, unable to continue with my normal routine and was the cause of what you then designated my "overcommunication". If I erred on the side of overcommunication, you might consider that your party erred on the side of non-communication.
Nonetheless, constructive criticism is always welcome. Preferably, it should be based on personal experience rather than hearsay.
I hope that the next time you use my services, I’ll get that 5.
