Baragwainaith is nestled in the small sleepy clifftop hamlet of Trowan about a mile outside St Ives. It enjoys breathtaking views of the sea and is very secluded but is equally only a short drive to the hustle and bustle of St Ives with its famous beaches, restaurants and galleries. Many famous sites and National Trust properties are within easy reach. It's our home from home we'd love to share with you. We fell in love with it when we saw it and we hope you will too...

The space
Baragwainaith is a two storey stone cottage nestled in clifftop hamlet of Trowan just a mile outside St Ives.

The hamlet is beautifully quiet and has quite spectacular views of the sea. Night time is no less spectacular than the day...being so far west you will be able to see a number of incredible sunsets and when the sun finally sets you'll have a starry night sky to die for.

The cottage is our family home so as well as having all the things you would expect of a holiday house, we've tried to go that extra mile with homely, unique touches like blankets on every chair or sofa, lots of dvds and books and games, children's toys, and even beautiful pieces of art, old vintage maps of Cornwall and an antique ship's light.

Perhaps the most special things about the house, other than the magnificent location, are the beamed and skylighted ceilings of the two bedrooms and the secret smugglers hide in the kitchen.

Cornwall is well known for smuggling and in fact, the SW coast path that the hamlet sits alongside was actually created by the government for Inland Revenue inspectors who were watching out up and down the coast to catch those pesky smugglers. The hide in the kitchen is about 12ft deep and would have been used to store smuggled goods. It can fill with ground water when (URL HIDDEN) not going to flood though, don't worry. Incredibly, the hide can be seen through a glass panel in the floor.

You enter the house through the eat in kitchen. The lounge, with access to the garden, is immediately to your left.

Both bedrooms are upstairs. The master has a king bed with orthopaedic matress and an ensuite shower room. The twin room has two single beds and two pull out trundle beds that would be suitable for children. The main bathroom with full bathtub is between the two bedrooms.

Hi....I'm a person who loves the simple things in life, my children, my family, beautiful places, good company, laughing, the sea, a good book... And a couple of vices, baking, shopping and TV. My favourite places, I guess London, Italy and Cornwall but anywhere with family and friends, meeting new people and exploring new places, foods and cultures is so much fun.. We want our house in Cornwall to be a second home to you, a place to snug up under a blanket, wash the sand from your toes, cook up a lovely meal and marvel in the endless stars or the calling sea. It's our happy family place and we hope to share it, and this magical part of Cornwall, with you. We are always available to help when needed but we like to leave you to the peace and quiet of our beautiful home. Life motto. Be kind, to each other and the world. Kindness costs nothing, but it's priceless to those who receive it.
