Kate's home is charming. It is situated near a park and among old Victorians. The bedroom is huge and tastefully appointed. Kate leaves multiple brochures about the city and is full of great suggestions for sites or simply the best way to get around town. Overall, a fantastic experience!
I stay a week at Kate's house, and I loved everything! House is clean and has beautiful view to see the downtown. Kate is so accommodating and nice and she showed me everything in San Francisco. This is my first experience using airbnb and it's great! I would definitely choose Kate's house again next time.
Fabulous neighborhood! Great views, convenient location to public transportation. You can get downtown fast. I found Kate very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice. I highly recommend it.
This was my first time using Airbnb. So I wasn't sure about the expectations of the guest and the host. I stayed there for only one night. Kate was very accommodating and friendly. She let me drop off my luggage earlier than the check-in time since no one else was staying the previous day. She also showed me where I could use her coffee, bagels, orange juice and milk.
Everything about the listing is accurate. It was very private. The room is listed as heated and it is during the day. But the heat is turned off at night (she mentioned it before I booked it). But since I liked a warm place to sleep, she gave me a heated blanket. However, in a hurry to go to sleep, I was stupid and slept over the heated blanket instead of underneath it. No wonder I was cold at night. So, nothing really wrong with the listing, but if you like a warm bed, make sure you request a heated blanket and sleep UNDER it. The room and everything else was clean. All the paintings, book, etc gave it character and it felt like a home.
The neighborhood is very quiet. I've never lived in a Victorian house. So it was a new experience.
Really enjoyed my 2 week stay at Buena Vista. Kate was very informative and helpful and is a mine of information on the area and San Francisco in general. The room is exactly as shown in the photos. Best thing about the apartment were the amazing sunrise views from the kitchen of the city and bay area. Definitely worth getting up early for! Easy transport links via the muni-metro system and a selection of great restaurants just a few blocks away on Church made this a fantastic place to stay in San Francisco.
Kate was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed to be comfortable in her home. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed her beautiful house and eclectic art and furnishings. The location was ideal and very quiet. Even on New Year's Eve we got a great night's sleep.
