Our beautiful home is a classic danish apartment, it is cozy, spacious and fast connections to everything. The bus to the center takes less than 10 minutes. The vibrant Nørrebro and the famous handcraft center Jægersborggade are around the corner.
Bedroom nr 1 has a view over the grocery store Irma, where mostly organic and high quality products are sold
Our home is a classical danish apartment. It is above street level which gives a lot of privacy and comfort. It is a sunny apartment both in the morning and evening, but when necessary the sun can be blocked with curtains (e.g. if you want to sleep early or late). There is a small garden outside where you can relax or eat at the garden table.
Our apartment can host up to 6 adults. We have two bedrooms with each a 2 person bed (1.60mx2.00m) and a living room with a large couch that can be converted to a 2 person bed as well. In addition to the bathroom, the master bed room also has it own sink.
WiFi. There is a 20Mbit/sec WiFi connection which is fast enough for Netflix or other streaming services.
Parking. You will have access to free parking close to our apartment.
Washing clothes. You can wash and dry (website hidden). You can use all appliances such as the furnace, oven, fridge and microwave.
Bathing. We provide towels, soap, shampoo and we have a hairdryer. So these are items you don't need to bring. :)
Interaction with Guests
We will be at the apartment when you check-in. Here we will tell about the apartment, appliances, the WiFi connection, where you can find extra sheets, towels and our contact info if you need to reach us.
The apartment is located a 10 minute bus ride to the center, less than 15 minutes walking to the vibrant Nørrebro ('Superkilen'-square) and Jægersborggade (a street with many shops making handcraft products and small cafes and restaurants).
- Shops -
There are three supermarkets and a pharmacy located close by (within 100 meters).
+ Aldi. This supermarket is around the corner of the same block and provides basic products for low prices. We typically go here for vegetables. It is open from (phone number hidden) (until 18:00 in the weekend).
+ Irma. This supermarket is at the other side of the street and has high quality products (almost exclusively organic and natural) but is also expensive. If you are not familiar with danish brands, this is the place to go since you cannot buy bad products. :) They are open every day from (phone number hidden).
+ Super-Best. This is a large supermarket which has almost everything. Their bread department is a specialized bakery and is extremely good! Open every day from (phone number hidden). Small corner shop where you can buy passes for public transport, beer, toothbrushes, magazines, etc. Open 24/7.
- Easy and awesome places to visit -
+ National Museum of Art. Free entry to the standard collection of historic and contemporary art. A must-see! (website hidden)
+ Jægersborggade. A street filled with unique shops specialized in hand crafted products, small cafes and restaurants that are really worth to have a look around.
+ Assistens Kirkegård. A burial ground used for strolling, running, cycling and sometimes sunbathing. Is the resting place of writer H.C. Andersen and his grave is often decorated with children toys.
+ Superkilen. The square of Nørrebro with all kinds of crazy items; a skate ramp that evolves into a house, a boxing ring, multiple swings and items from all around the world.
+ Frederiksberg Park & København Zoo
The Frederikspark is a nice place for running or enjoying the nice weather. The royal palace is located at that park and in the South-West of the park you can see the elephants of the zoo. The zoo has reached worldwide attention for putting down a baby giraffe and a month later two lions. Despite this there are still many amazing animals left to see. :)
- public transport -
Out apartment has many public transport options. You can take bus 12, 66, 68 to the center. You can take bus 4A with the metro to the center (exit at Kongens Nytorv) and to the airport (final stop of M2 line).
- To get to our apartment from the airport -
From the airport you can take the metro to station Fasanvej (goes every 2 minutes during the day) and then take bus 4A towards Svanemøllen (goes each 5 minutes during the day). The trip from the airport to our apartment takes about 45 minutes.
- parking -
There is free parking in our street (Fasanvej) and closeby (about 100m). On Sundays there is free parking in the entire neighborhood.
It is not permitted to smoke in the apartment. But there is a small cozy garden in the back where you can smoke.
Pets are not allowed.
My friends and I had a pleasant stay at Janes apartment. Communication with Jane was easy and also very felxible as I booked relatively short on time.
The apartment looks exactly as on the pictures and has a very warm and cosy atmosphere. I would definitely recommand staying in Jane´s apartment!
A lovely apartment with a pleasant homely feel. Ideal for what we needed as a group of five. Plenty of space with clean and tidy rooms and beds. A good location as a base to visit Copenhagen with shops nearby. Jane allowed us to leave our luggage until later on the day of departure which was very helpful. Great communication all round too.
Jane is a great host. Right from the beginning me and my 5 friends felt welcome in her flat, everything was well prepared and friendly. The apartment is well located and suits perfectly for 6 people. We had a great time in Copenhagen and specially in Jane's flat, it's absolutely recommendable to everyone!
Appartement parfait et très agréable pour 6 malgré la minuscule salle de bain!
Proche du centre avec le bus qui s'arrête en bas de l'appartement.
Jane nous a super bien accueilli!
Super séjour ;)
