Nice house located in a central area. Very good value for money as breakfast is included in the price. Did not directly meet Ellen but the other housemates were welcoming and approachable.
I must say we really enjoyed the place - people we shared the house with were really warm and helpful in any way they possibly could. The area itself is nice and it's easy to move around. House itself is nice and clean and everything needed was available. Really loved the dog :)
The location is good, house was a bit unclean and facilities were half boiled. Main point was that the other guests were very unfriendly and we felt as though we were intruding on an already established community.
I had a really good time at Jorge's place. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, but the house is really close to the tram station which takes you right to Stephen's Green on one end of Grafton Street in no time. There is cereal, toast and fruits for breakfast. The house is big and tidy and you'll surely meet nice people during your stay. Maybe you'll even share a room. If you'd like something more relaxed than a hostel, this one's for you.
The hostel is a house at the end of the street. Each of the six rooms has two bunk beds. There is a cottage house, in the back yard, where four more people are also bunking. The place has the atmosphere of a college dorm, and a few residents are actually foreign students studying at Dublin colleges. Others are also staying long term, working at jobs like pedicab drivers, primarily here to learn English. Not too sure, families, or people my age are regulars, as they chat with Rhys with some amusement and keep calling me "sir". However, its very friendly, the other hostelers are curious about us and we talk quite a bit. We enjoyed our stay; quiet, clean, with a mix of private and public space, we can cook meals and ate in a relaxed manner. Jonothan was very accommodating. Laundry is on site, but kinda expensive at 7 euro.
We were surprise how many people lived in the house. It was a hostel type of accommodation which wasn´t written in the description of the house. The people slept even in the living room. There was a problem with a tidiness of the kitchen which was packed of other people food so we didn´t have any space for our food. Often without hot water.
