Our experience in Milan was made extraordinary by staying in Francesco's apartment! Our daughter had a medical emergency so we had to stay on an extra, unplanned week. His place, is clean, sleek, beautifully designed and well appointed in every way. We had everything we needed for cooking meals and spending more time in than out. We were grateful for the A/C as the temp hovered near 100 F every day. Francesco has an interesting collection of books and music. Most importantly, he is kind and thoughtful, making every attempt to have our stay be as comfortable as possible. Thank you, Francesco, for a memorable time!
Francesco was great and very hospitable and helped us with whatever we needed. Apartment was lovely and felt like home away from home. I would definitely recommend for a stay in Milan.
We arrived in Milan by car after travelling various parts of Italy. Francesco's apartment was a nice relief after staying in hotel rooms and it was great to have some space. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Great bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, Francesco also has a great collection of reference books and music which was an unexpected bonus.
First time in Milan for us and the location was very handy, only 3 stops on the Yellow Subway line from Duomo and if you arrive by car, Franscesco will organise a parking spot for you in the next building for 15 euro a day which was better than 25 which we paid in Bologna.
Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance and Francesco will make bookings for you for those struggling with Italian...I am very envious of his ability to speak English so well. Had our last dinner in Italy, of seafood paella at Tapa Ristorante which was devine..
The apartment is fully equipped with airconditioning which was heavenly as there was a heatwave while we were there. There is also a great supermarket right across the road which was very handy.
Overall, we really enjoyed staying at Francesco and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Milan.
Francesco was a perfect host - meeting me at the apartment to show me around and explain how everything works. He even left beers and breakfast in the fridge for me ! The location is a perfect base for a weekend in Milan. 15 mins from linate airport, Plenty of great restaurants nearby and a short taxi ride into central milan. The apartment is both modern and stylish and far better in reality than the pictures suggest. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to milan.
For my wife and me, this was our first Airbnb experience, and we are thrilled at how good it was. The information on the web site was accurate and described the place honestly. The apartment is modern, very clean, and spacious; the bed is comfortable. Location is about a 5 minute walk to the metro, and a short train ride to the center of Milan. A good supermarket is across the street, so we saved on meals by shopping for groceries, and a good, moderate-priced restaurant that Francesco recommended is just a block away. We noticed a dry-cleaner/laundry on the way from the subway.
Francesco was a most gracious and thoughtful host, much more so than we could have expected. He did everything possible to make us feel at home, and assisted us in person with a lot of local information and guidance. Francesco took time from work to meet with us and he made sure that our visit would be great.
While a B&B is a very different experience than a hotel, I would compare his apartment very favorably to a 4-star hotel in terms of quality. In spaciousness, it was even better. And even as senior citizens ourselves, we did not miss any hotel conveniences; in fact, we were better served personally by Francesco than any hotel would provide. Bottom line: Francesco's apartment would be our first choice for a return visit.
