It was a pleasant and comfortable experience staying at Layang Layang guest house, it is nearby Jonker Street, the guest house is well maintained, and equipped with all the essential facilities. It is more than what I expected, not just a roof on my head. I will definitely return to Layang Layang guest house if I going to Malacca for another short break.
The hosts were great and the guest house is right in the middle of town. I was concerned that my room without a window would feel claustrophobic but that wasn't the case at all. The room was spacious and I love the hardwood floors. The benefit of not having a window? Less noise pollution (although you can still hear chanting from the nearby mosque. There was chanting at 8:30pm and another one at 5:30am or so). I wish the room had a big table or cupboard to put my things on - there was only a night table.
The communal bathrooms are clean and I like how open the house is. It wasn't hot at all (although walking on the streets was scorching).
The hosts called a cab for me when I checked out. I would recommend the place to friends!
It is only 1 street lane away from Jonker Street.
The guesthouse have a very unique and natural design. The small pond in the center with fish is definitely the highlight. As for the room is just comfy enough though you have to expect there is no wardrobe provided just a hanger behind the door.
I must say their Map Version is very nice and easy to look through with all the information you might need.
Recommended if location and clean room are you preference
Employees: We felt welcomed. Hosts were really friendly.
Guesthouse: Toilets are clean. Room is clean.
Location: Very strategic. 2 mins walk to Jonker. 5 mins walk to The Stradthuys. 5 mins walk to the Riverside.
Booking: Weren't imformed that we were given the non-window room. Luckily, we were able to get an upgrade to window for an additional of RM10 (decent price).
Parking: Can be a challenge at times.
Will defo recommend to friends and family :)

Stay in this lovely guest house for a short trip in Melacca. The location is fantastic. Just a 1 min walk to Jonker street and Hard Rock Café. The room is big and comfortable. Clean and well maintained bathroom. We enjoy here more than the hotel that we stayed previously.
Miss Daphne and her staff Stephanie and Jia Min are lovely and kind. We love them so much!
You can basically enjoy &hunt for all the good foods by following the map that provided upon check in. Breakfast in Kaya-Kaya café is another highlight.
We would like to stay here again for the next visit! Highly recommended!
Layang Layang is very comfortable and relaxing, and just 5 mins walk to jonker street. The team is friendly and helpful. Room and toilets are clean and basic toiletries are provided. Overall, it's a great experience staying here.
Small note, if you're staying at ground floor, be prepared to hear the music from the trishaws passing by, and footsteps from the upper floor. Have fun!
