Situated in Seminole Heights near the river, my house is shaded by lovely oak trees & comes with lots of porch spots to relax. 3 blocks from the bus stop that takes you to downtown Tampa, 4 miles away. Walking distance to a few restaurants/bars.
Your guestroom is furnished with a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, closet space and small dresser. It fits 2 comfortably. 1 additional guest can use my twin size foldout bed. I have 2 small dogs and a cat, but they are not allowed in the guest bedrooms.
You'll have access to the kitchen, washer and dryer. I have a coffee maker and hair dryer. Most bathroom essentials are provided if you forget something. I can include breakfast if you're interested, just ask.
I work full time but I can always find fun events and help you travel like a local!
Seminole Heights is a historical funky neighborhood with big old oak trees and unique 1920's bungalows.
The bus stop is a 4 or 5 minute walk. Parking is always available on the street and it's free & safe. Taxi from the airport runs about $22. I do have bikes to loan - free with security deposit.
Well behaved pets are allowed, but since I have a small wiener dog and a cat - probably no large or aggressive dog breeds.
Janette's home made for a wonderful Tampa visit. Clean, comfortable, safe neighborhood, on street parking, a short walk to a nice restaurant that's open late as well as a coffee shop that's friendly. Nice neighborhood, with lots of individual flair. Slept well and Janette was accommodating to our rather erratic schedule. She went out of her way to accommodate our son who was traveling with us as well. Kudos.
Cute house, very comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. Only a few miles from Downtown Tampa, which is easily accessible by bus or through a fairly inexpensive cab ride. Would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.
Janette is a great host! She manages to make you feel like at home. Her two pets - Pumpkin and Rocky - are ridiculously cute. Janette has a very stylish, modern, neat and very clean home with a great room for the guests. She could give us a lot of advice what to do in Tampa and the surroundings when needed. We would always love to come back!
You won't want to leave. Clean enough to eat off the floor, even after Pumpkin (resident canine) licks it up. A wonderful home, shambala, shangra-la, heaven on earth, what have you. Peaceful, tranquil. You might look up from the couch and see a white doe staring back at you. A rare place on earth that's seems a doorway between this world and the next. I don't know. Prose just does not fit to explain. Imagine the peace you feel when having been gone on a long journey and coming to a strange humble place, you eerily find yourself at home - safe like you were when you were a kid and your parents slept in the other room. Can't say enough about the place. Funky bungalow, old charming neighborhood, pristine condition, open zen like space, cute adorable fuzzy animals, and Janette - well - she is the type of angelic people - beautiful, intelligent, wise, prudent, charitable, etc. You really can't go wrong staying here. You really couldn't go wrong falling in love with the place and the host. Some kind of saintly refuge you'd never expect to find. An oasis. You get the picture. It's like a dwelling a place you come to and you just feel the presence of goodness. Like your grandma's house or something, but only Janette is probably not like your grandma. If a home could have an old soul, a wise worldly soul, in a youthful body. It's close to downtown Tampa, like 5 miles a few minutes on the interstate or just down a main road. The neighborhood is old but resurrecting, old facades and young life it's charming as hell. I just can't say enough about how peaceful it was to go to cruddy work all week and then come back to relax in such a peaceful place. Even when it rains, the drops sound tropical and alluring not harsh. Eh I just trying to say, this beats staying at a hotel, and i doubt you will find a cooler person to have as company if you plan to stay with someone. One of those type places you leave having felt you gained something, left with something more valuable or more than what you had when you came. Just stay here.
