Remarkable. Such a beautiful town with so much to do. The Lobster cottages are situated perfectly along the water with a short walk to town. My wife and I had a wonderful time waking in the morning and heading into town, spending our nights walking out to dinner in Summercove or Scilly. It's all at your fingertips and it's all fantastic.
The house is large and good for four or five. It is equipped with anything you need. The only thing is, there leads the mainroad 2 m beside the entrance door with heavy traffic.
Perfect location. The view was amazing. The cottage was just as advertised. Ian really went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cottage with view to the pier at the edge of the fishing village Kinsale. We liked that we could easily take a walk around Kinsale and to many other places like Fort Charles. The folks from town and were very nice and there are a lot of pubs and shops as well.
I guess it would still be hard to reach without a car.
The house is very cosy and we found all comfort we needed.
We can definitely recommend to other ones to stay at the cottage and in Kinsale.
For anyone staying there we can also recommend warmly to visit `The Steakhouse` just near the cottage in Lower O’Connell Street (even for veggies).

Ian is a very gracious and resourceful host, making my stay at 1 Lobster Cottage a very pleasant experience. The cottage was clean, more than comfortable and very roomy - everything I needed was already in place.
The town of Kinsale is a perfect gem with great shops, friendly folk and far more activities than one would expect of a quaint town in the South of Ireland. Just a sampling of the activities in town and close-by are town and nature walks, sailing, beaches, road trips and a great selection of family and fine dinning with friendly pubs offering top class music.
Photo enthusiasts - be sure to have your batteries charged and extra memory cards handy - you'll need them.
Thanks again Ian for a lovely stay at 1 Lobster Cottage - I would love to visit again someday in the not too distant future!
