I may or may not be traveling during your stay and if so, there may be a chance that there will be other guests in the living room but you will have COMPLETE privacy in the huge bedroom.

Many people that aren't familiar with this neighborhood have false and a completely inaccurate perception of this neighborhood. There is a stigma from the 80's that is still attached to the neighborhood as being unsafe, violent etc. which is not the case whatsoever. Through the years since then, the area and neighborhood went through drastic changes. The City of New York put a lot of energy and money into gentrifying the neighborhood by building a huge new shopping mall, opening new restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe, building new parks, and making the area more visually appealing. This is also where Hip-Hop was first born which makes it even more historical!
Because of this, as well as the fact that it is 2 stops away from Manhattan, this has become one of the most popular neighborhoods in the Bronx. The apartment is situated 3 blocks away from the world famous Yankee Stadium where tourist and locals visit on a regular basis. This neighborhood is completely safe. I am a short, petite Asian woman who has been living here since 2006. I have come home many nights alone--late at night 3AM and I've always been safe. All of my guests have felt the same way too as stated in their reviews.

You can check in ANYTIME after 2pm--whatever you're arrival time (even if it's extremely late at night) will NOT be a problem. If by chance you will be arriving earlier, than we can work out the details. Check out is at 11am.
All I ask first and foremost is that you treat my home as if it were your own--if not better. The most disappointing thing about opening my home is to find out that a guest hasn't followed this #1 rule of mine.
Basically my philosophy about the apartment is letting my guests using their common sense, being respectful, treating others as you like being treated and on top of that making the people staying here comfortable and helping them to make the most of their stay. My priority is always the comfort and well-being of my guests and I will go out of my way to achieve that goal.
