Colle dell'ara is not a hotel. Staying with us, in our home, means treating yourself to a rare experience.
We are in Positano, in the small village of Montepertuso, located just above this corner of paradise on the Amalfi Coast.
The building is situated on top of the hill and can be reached on foot in 5-6 minutes through an ancient path, fully illuminated at night.
We are Pasquale and Giacomo, who with the help of our father Michele, a few years ago we decided to undertake this activity which constantly
is giving us the opportunity to convey to our guests our main passions for hospitality and good food. These passions, well-established in our
coastal land and agriculture, allowing us to constantly reinvent the offer to our guests dedicated, basing it on availability and seasonality values.
We host you in rooms equipped with private bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea of Positano between the islands of Capri and Li Galli. Each room has a large double bed (with the possibility of adding a single bed), and are equipped with linens, towels and toiletries. Free wi-fi connection is working in all our spaces. We provide you with keys for your independent access at every time.
Interaction with Guests

We had the best time staying at Colle dell'ara! It's truly an amazing place. Walking up to it is definitely an experience but completely worth it for the view and wonderful stay. Pasquale (and Giacomo and Matt) was also wonderful and helped make sure our stay was great. Breakfast on the terrace is delicious and definitely stay for dinner when it's available! We'll definitely be back to beautiful Positano and Colle dell'ara
Beautiful romantic place to stay. We enjoyed our simple but delicious breakfast on the patio with breathing views everyday. Pas was kind enough to book a great restaurant and we ate there 2 nights in a row and also food the cooking school there. We will stay here when we return. The bus is reliable and a great experience. We appreciated that our room was made up everyday also and the room had a reasonably priced minibar. My hubby loved the fresh fruit salad for breakfast too. We will be back. Highly recommended
Staying at Colle dell'ara was such a fantastic and unique experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by the family. The location is beautiful in a nice quiet town up in the hills above Positano which allows for amazing views and incredible hiking paths nearby. Pasquale was always available to help and answer any questions we had. We had the opportunity to enjoy a meal cooked by Giacomo which was unforgettable and I would highly recommend doing. This B&B is a perfect getaway-you'll never want to leave!
Delightful 2 night stay in this unique hilltop home with the very welcoming Giacomo and his family. The delicious home grown food, was an unexpected bonus. Our highlight was the hearty 6 course (vegetarian) meal with fellow guests from around the globe, sharing travel tips (and catastrophes!) Admittedly, it was little tricky to find initially but well worth the trek. Advice: get the public bus from Positano. Avoid its jostling crowds and head straight for "The Path of the Gods" - conveniently located a short walk from this B&B. Would return in a heartbeat! Julianne & Luke
So, this was my first AirBnB trip and WOW, I couldn't have asked for a more amazing host and accommodations. The room, the view, really everything was perfect. Pasquale, Giacomo and their father (unfortunately, I never did catch his name) are running an amazing place here. If you have the opportunity definitely do the "family" dinner that they offer. My wife and I were in heaven with that meal... probably our favorite meal out of the 9 days we went around in Italy. I highly recommend staying here and have already sent the info to a few friends who are also looking for places to stay near Positano. Everything was exactly as pictured and described. Thank you Miola family for providing a wonderful stay for my wife and I on our 10 year celebration.
My friend and I only got to stay at Colle dell'ara one night, but we spent the rest of our stay at their other airbnb: Casa Mariagrazia. Helpful tip: Both listings are hands down amazing!
Colle dell'ara truly lives up to all the hype. Walking to the B&B is an experience on it's own. The backdrop of the mountains and the whole of Positano below is absolutely breath taking! If you're worried about getting to the beach or into town, don't be. It's really easy taking the local bus into Positano! Plus, the bus ride is a fun experience. It's honestly so incredible how the bus drivers can get around the winding roads of the Amalfi coast. It was eye opening.
Speaking of unique experiences, Colle dell'ara offers a few activities that I highly recommend! One of the experiences they offer is a small farm-to-table cooking class. My friend and I joined Giacomo, our lovely host, as he took us around their expansive farm on the mountains. He had us foraging different herbs which he pointed out and explained along the way. After gathering enough produce, we went into the kitchen to create the most delicious fresh herb/ricotta cheese pie while drinking wine, of course. It was such a refreshing experience that allowed us to explore the landscape in a different way. We also took part in the home-cooked dinner party and we had an amazing time getting to know the other guests! Plus, the food was absolutely devine.
At the end of the day though, what really made this a memorable stay were the amazing people we met here. Pasquale, Giacomo, and their father have created a warm space were it is easy to become fast friends with other guests and locals. I feel so grateful to have made what I feel are life long friends during my stay. :) Thank you!!!!
