This cozy guest room is located in a historic farm house, Harrigan's Hidden Hideaway, situated along the Opequon Creek in Kearneysville, West Virginia. Guests have a private entrance, bathroom and sitting room. This guest room is perfect for those who want to relax, kayak, bike, hike, sight see, shop and dine. Kearneysville is near many historic towns and outdoor adventures. This listing is managed by Meredith for Maureen Harrigan. Maureen is a gracious host that makes all feel welcome.

The space
This space is located in a private home on 10 acres. Enjoy a peaceful night sitting around a fire pit or reading in the private sitting room. Kayak trips can be arranged by the owner of the house for floats down the Opequon Creek. The room is dog friendly for an added deposit of $10 per dog.

Guest access
Guests may enjoy a stroll through the fields to the Opequon Creek or to sit around the private fire pit. The guest room has an adjoining sitting room and bathroom. The room is equipped with a coffee station, fridge and microwave. There is also a hammock in the yard for relaxing.

Other things to note
If you write, bring your laptop or journal. If you paint, bring your easel, canvas and paints. If you are a photographer, bring your cameras. If read, bring books. If you are a musician, bring your instruments. If you enjoy outdoor activities, bring your bikes, kayaks, canoes and/or tents.

Bring bug spray during the summer months. Creek life brings mosquitoes and gnats. However, we do provide guests with use of locally made natural bug spray. The location is so charming, you won't notice what creek life brings except the peace and quiet of country living.

The farm house is situated in a development of new homes on several acre lots. The farm house is built in 1780 and is the original property owner of the development. The farm house is on 10 acres and in a very peaceful setting.
